I'm a strong supporter of TW's prime (which you guys probably know at this point), and even I have to admit that Toylab's prime is the least compromised prime. He balances the vehicle and robot mode insanely well. I just wish he would make actual progress in development.

 

awesome dude !! I also often think of this Action Figure Optimus Bumblebee Movie which includes Hot items for those that are ready to sell (in this case I only think of the type of Optimus: 3A / 3Zero, WJ M09, TW F09)

Among the three products I mentioned, 3A / 3Zero is the official product and is an Action figure Optimus Bumblebee Movie ver. the most accurate with its CGI design (taking the Earth Mode model)

speaking of WJ M09 and TW F09, it is undeniable that both of them are often compared to the 3A / 3Zero.Because 3A / 3Zero is the perfect embodiment of the Optimus Action Figure at the moment (although it cannot transform)

and I think the WJ M09 compared to TW F09, WJ 09 products in my opinion they are more focused on the Figure Optimus itself than the TW F09 who seem to focus their products on many unnecessary accessories and their gimmicks.

I say that because I have paid attention to these 3 figures with the main reference is 3A / 3Zero as a benchmark of perfect form

ok so we start with the overall shape ... I think the WJ M09 as a whole is trying to imitate with almost similar shape 3A and this is really good for lovers of Optimus BB ver. (image below)


then for the head sculpt, in my opinion WJ M09 is really trying to mimic the shape of 3A / 3Zero too ... if you see the TW mask shape looks fatter and weird (because of the articulation of the Optimus speaking mode).image below:



then, the proportions and body shape of both the chest and abdomen we see WJ M09 again trying to match the shape of 3A / 3Zero..mold his stomach is really good, and TW looks ugly and the proportions are strange. picture below:



go to the legs ... again WJ also tried to copy the shape and detail of the foot 3A / 3Zero where the legs are muscular and the details are great !!! compare with TW, it looks small, less muscular and less detail.picture below:



go to hand ... if in TW F09 this is the part that can be replaced by the blue part (the cybertron version). but here are the details for "Earth Mode" ... again the WJ M09 is really trying to approach the details of 3A / 3Zero. Picture below:



and for the front truck it is better TW F09 but the rear, WJ M09 wins because it is neater ... I think the overall truck mode is still good LS13 from Aoyi or Autobot Apex from Weijiang.image below:

from the things I observed above, I think and conclude that WJ M09 is really trying to focus on Optimus itself compared to TW, which seems to be the main focus of many non-essential accessories and gimmicks ... that's because I saw on Youtube TW F09 optimus it looks fragile and not solid. I think this WJ M09 is better because they really try to give Optimus to us by trying to get close to the 3A / 3Zero even though it's not exactly the same !!

 

While I do not share your opinion, I do respect your reasoning.

 

Good pictures my friend, and great observations made, you saved me time because also my pics aren't the greatest  . We have a good eye for detail and can see, amazingly, where Weijiang nailed the details. That is why I believed they purposefully also made M09 different. They didn't want to hassle themselves with vehicle trademarks or copyrights and neither did they want to hassle themselves copying the movie. I think their experience is growing in the "hassle avoidance" department. Good eye, good pics.

 

if anything , i think the head can be improved if they make the antenna slightly angled to the inside and make the ear cover tad bigger
also the shoulder position need to be higher
but it's too late for changes now

 

I still believe when we see more pics of him, he’ll still look like a buffed up prime on steroids from the early released pics.

The recent pics were all taken in certain angles to conceal his “actual” build. Well I could be wrong though. Wished they had new pics.


These are the early pics; Left looks okay. Right taken from a different angle looks buffed af.

I'm just hoping the playability factor on this one will at least rival the NE-01 Megamaster.

 

Honestly, this one got a better sculpt than Tw's but the greatest downside it's the inaccurate alt mode.
At least this one didn't fuck up the headsculpt.

 

Not really; the thing that makes F09' abdomine appesr short is the angle of the top half, which was placed too low on the sculpt. It does have a wode chest though. The reason M09 is mpre Swolo is because both the chest and abdomine are too wide, when compared to the width of the hips. It the chest and abdomine were 10-15% small, it would have a much more accurate shape.

Depends on what you call fucking up a head sculpt.

I must say that from all the avilable figures, TW got better the detail and sculpt, but the faceplate it's just enormous and pronounced.

 

True, but the fact that it's detailing is so accurate keeps it from being a truely bad headsculpt.

 

It's because Prime is wearing a mask over his mask to send a message in these dark hours.
