I like the NA tapes but it’s kinda hard to tell how good their Soundwave looks With the small grey renders, is he a long way out and they’re just getting it out to mess with MS?

Wow If that’s MFT it looks pretty great. Seems weird of MS to size their new characters to the KO’s of their old characters!

 

NAh likely it’s their Blaster and this is just another excuse to rerelease him. They will probably come in a two pack

 

Ms Soundwave - 4.2"
Ms blaster - 3.9"
Mft blaster - 4.3"

Based on the size of all 3 that's an MFT Blaster in the custom repaint pic

 

Sites get the sizes of legends figures wrong all the time (for some reason at this size they are hard to measure correctly), wait till you see pics from collections or from the companies before declaring. We have already had people fighting over this in the past only to be proven wrong one way or the other by the in hand figure.

If so very stupid of MS to change to size of figures in their own line.

Cause looking at this pic their soundwave may be larger than their megatron.

At the very least they are the same size.

 

Seems to be for the better, though. Relative to their Optimus/Megatron it seems more accurate to the cartoon
(If it really is 4.2 inches tall)

Soundblaster is already a hair shorter than NA Megs and NA Megs seems a hair shorter than Doomsday

 

just a heads up guys but that is not a stock MFT blaster in the pic. this has to be a modded MFT version. because MFT blaster is much larger than MS prime. who in turn is larger than MS soundwave.

i am sure they swapped the legs out from the knees down with MS blaster and tossed them on the MFT bot. it looks good for the shelf but it will never alt and that is a shame. but hopefully it lights a fire under MS to upsize their blaster.

Another review, but this guy has TWO decal sheets! Just flinging them around and laughing about it. I don’t speak the language, but I’m pretty sure he says “you will never have these fatty”(none of this is true, I’m just impatient and delusional lol).

Because it really can't be done. You can't have a perfect looking cassette and a clean, true bot because you can't have all the moving pieces that fold and swivel away to give you those forms, that you can at larger scales. Alternatively, making a perfect looking cassette and then chopping that up into the robot parts just leaves you with a robot that is clunky and basic. DX9's Ratbat and Laserbeak are good examples of this. Great tapes, just OK bots.

So what do collectors want the most? Great bots, that store in Soundwave, and turn into cassettes. If you can't do all three of those, which ones should you focus on? MST, killer bots, store in Soundwave, not very tapey looking. For all the time we'll have them in tape mode, I think it's forgivable.

Actually, he just said 3P companies don't like to come out with stickers as they are very time-consuming.

He then said he looked at the sticker sheet and one was sufficient, and wondered if he got lucky.

I hope so. I'm hoping I get the dry rubs with my Soundwave and Soundblaster but, in case I miss out, I'd like there to be a repro set as well.

 

you can definitely have mine if you dont get any. i would never use that shit and they will just live forever in the box for all eternity.
