Thanks! I really appreciate that. Sometimes I feel like I should give up & not bother anymore (depression ). Especially when the paint doesn't cooperate.

 

How do you go about painting those? I assume there is lots of paint/mask/paint/mask etc. Correct?

What type of paint and airbrush do you use?

 

I've had no interest in any of the Seige molds up until I saw these repaints.

Crazy how a new color scheme can improve (in my eyes, at least) how a figure looks.

 

Yup! Plus taking the whole figure apart & sometimes making molds & casting duplicate parts.

I use the cheapest crap I can get. lol I mostly use the cheap 50 cent paint from Walmart but thanks to the pandemic they haven't been able to restock in months. 

Thanks to the pandemic Ultra Magnus lost his job & now he & his son Junior Magnus have to live in a cardboard box in a NYC alley.

Fortress Maximus also lost his job. He's the cardboard box!

 

These are the coolest custom paint jobs I've ever seen.

Man, I wish those figures looked like that out of the box...

Siege Nemesis Prime with various accessories:

Bandai energy effects are used in most of the pics. Magna Convoy (right) combined his sword with the Large Gun accessory in the Takara manga. Did the same for Nemesis Prime using Legends Mindwipe's Large Gun. I think it would look better if the sword handle was used instead of the Large Gun handle.


This is with the BTS-01 Nemesis Deco trailer. There's very little rotation. Trailer has the bare minimum clearance (1mm or less) while staying level. See Heavy/Scratch: - Various mods (of mods), custom stuff for custom peg (relatively easy in making your own, even from a straw).


Dr. Wu M16P hammer. Their earlier kits had issues with oversized pegs. Didn't fix this one yet. The staff comes apart and he's holding it at one of the joints.


Heavily modified DX9 Reaper Scythe. The pole diameter was also oversized and was just one piece with a hinge in the middle. Modified it so that the ends come off and that 5mm hands can hold it.


More Dr. Wu Swords. The fluorescent red worked just fine out the box. The other red sword was an older one with oversized peg and fixed that one.

 

Devastation is probably a prequel to the 1986 Movie, it is probably why Megatron and Decepticons are being extra merciless in the movie due to what happened in the game.

Thanks, that's perfect. I only ask because I'm tempted to buy a Springer for a Point blank custom ( which i already have a mirage base for Sureshot) but I'm not liking the height differences for this. I sure hope part 3 has some more non-earth vehicles that will better fit him....

I totally read that in his G1 voice and it made it so much better.

 

Eh it is and it isn’t, the game retcons a lot of pre sunbow g1 with idw references including nova prime. In addition to that megatron is a tank and not a gun, so while it does sorta fit it also doesn’t full line up
