Yeah that's what it looked like to me. But if it wasn't humidity controlled there also could have been wild temperature variations that could have hurt the joints. Who knows. It seems to be in otherwise good shape so if the kraggle holds I might never notice.

I kind of took a chance on this one - an ebay seller with excellent feedback based in China, that I hadn't ordered from before and it was unfortunately ordered right when the covid outbreak really started hitting hard. The box had even taken some blows and was a bit dented - they just wrapped it in bubble wrap and wrapped that in thick paper and shipped it that way. o.0 But the shipping delays weren't the seller's fault, and it did arrive intact.

I will probably keep an eye on Mandarake to see if any 17s pop up there for a decent price anyways - I had initially wanted to find an 11C, 17D and 19F for a Macross Seven "general use" trio, but, insane 11C prices aside, the 17D and 19F are more expensive than the 17S / 19S, so I decided to skip the 11 entirely and get these two instead (the 17S was below retail for new and the 19S was at retail for new).

Yea the GNU's felt more like a model kit that has been put together already. They do come apart if you try and pull crazy poses. Funny that the Revoltech is made for posing but the some of the joints are jammed up. IMHO it's so stupid on Yamato's part they didn't include any of the Fast Packs for their releases. I think I would've been happy with the GNU with the Fast packs over the Macross Revoltech figures.

@Slave IV This I my first (And probably last) venture in Revoltech. I could be wrong but the newer Revoltech figures use bigger joints compare to these Smaller ones on the Macross line. Seriously debating if I wanna open the 19 now lol

The Macross Revoltech figures were made before Kaiyodo shifted to a larger size and larger Revolver joints.

Yea I gotcha. Just wondering so the earlier Revoltech Transformers figures were this size of these Macross figures then? I recall Revoltech recently coming out with another Prime?

Yes, any Revoltech made prior to 2010 was in the smaller 4-5" format, they didn't start to switch up until 2010 or later.

The transforming Macross Revoltechs were made before the size change IIRC.

Haha, the older Revos really were not great but I can say that the new figures are some of my favorite around. They aren't making anything Macross that I know of at the moment but their Amazing Yamaguchi series is the best line in comic book style figures EVER! As for the old style joints, again I haven't checked but there must be some market for them somewhere. Might not even be worth the effort though. Sorry you have to deal with this.

Yea it's all good. You know how it is when you haven't bought anything in awhile so you buy whatever if the price is good. I got both the 19 & 21 New for $30. I do like the newer Marvel Yamaguchi/Revoltech's but that's a rabbit hole I can't be in bc it's Endless lol. Thx to all for the help!

$30 ain't bad. Worst case, you have some display items that you can put somewhere and enhance the look of an HMR shelf or something.

What size is the joint? I have bunch of extra. Are you in the US? I'll send you one. Hopefully I have the right color. PM me.

    Also something Thursday...
    IMG_20200527_132125.jpg

So it turns out my 1/55 Super Valk is in LA with my Elintseeker so I can't remold the clip on heat shield ATM. I can remold the canopy off my VF-1J if anyone wants a screw in replacement type canopy.

Also if reprolabels makes that VF-1S strike set I'll probably remold the strike cannon. My Max needs a strike cannon

No problem. I'll try to dig mine out to double check for you but I'm not exactly sure where it is.

    Nice!

Awww booo they only updated the hip joint? And I can't tell if they just added more screws to the hip joint or if they added ratchets. I would liked a change to the ankles as well and.....shoulders. I'm also curious what the changed to the joint of the wing boosters. Hmmmm might pass on this afterall.

glad to have mine, the 2001 BANDAI reissue. i'd love to have the original box, or, perhaps better still, the TAKATOKU box for it,
    but, with the prices those command... i don't think so;
