You know what, fair enough! You're right on both counts. It's been a while since I messed with the combined version of MMC Bruticus, so either I was misremembering or I just didn't realize the thigh swivel by the hip was there to begin with.

Seems soon, maybe. At least we think it’ll come in June. The tank is also set for august.

 

So I was looking at those prototype pics of Hot Spot over at the Protectobots/Defensor thread and was reminded of those pages in Original G1 comic #32 (the first I ever read). Specifically, the tough talk between Hot Spot and Onslaught before the battle breaks out in the car yard.

Both team leaders were portrayed as physical powerhouses who didn't mind a good brawl. And when I hold MMC's Onslaught in hand, despite the memories of a pompous planner from the cartoon, he really does LOOK like a powerful brute.

Dearly hoping MMC's Hot Spot also carries the same tough guy physique and presence as that of G1 comic #32.

And from the CGI renders of the version they were planning back then, I think MMC will do just that (yes I know those renders were scrapped).

 

You know I had a go with that shoulder assembly to try the Tarn styled capes and I think this actually works pretty well. Granted it’s not as effective like some sort of Rider scarf but it’s not a bad way to place them.

 

I just can’t believe mmc was ok with that. It’s hexatron all over again.

 

What was the go with him?

 

These flaps didn’t fold all the way down so you can’t get a good closed leg stance. Reminds me of the armpit of onslaught lol

 

Ah yeah that’s a shame. I’d honestly say this is the most undeveloped part of the figure. The waist and hips design is jarring but it does give an illusion and the assembly works. This is just kinda weird and I don’t know what to do.

My Fraudo and Incursus arrived today. Fraudo is missing his spare tire. Contacting the vendor now about it, but just in case I'm stuck, it's not crucial, right?

 

Yeah it doesn’t have to be there. It’s more for the style and storage combinations. Like if you want it on the combiner foot or connect it to make a larger cannon assembly.

 

Nah its purely cosmetic like the weapons.

Oh my...

So I have a question. How long do you think swindle gonna be around. I'm going to be honest, I kind of want to save him for last. He's never been my favorite. He's the only non face plate member, and really only going in on him because of the combiner. So, do you think I can save him for last, or should I avoid the risk?

 

I'd avoid the risk plus the longer you wait the harder he might become to get at all. You never know with MMC some of there stuff is hard to find at reasonable prices after they have been out a while

Fraudo has the best pose-ability from the set so far in my opinion, very well balanced and stable.
