I had to find a small enough screwdriver, but it worked! be careful - it was really really tight on my copy.

I know this was quoted from dalianjj in this thread or in the Ethereon thread and that it has also been months. It was before the pandemic and also FT's prices have gone up since then. Iceman's price shot up $20 at BBTS though I'm still waiting to see if they honor the $119 price when I preordered it or the $139 price it became later. We should have an answer by the fall as I'm sure the last bot of at least one of these sets will go on preorder. The stunticons already have the fourth listed for preorder.

I got my Iceman in yesterday, and thankfully there don't seem to be any faults with my copy after one transformation to Jet mode. I did have to file the tab on the back of the cockpit leading into the fuselage so it wouldn't bend upwards too far, but otherwise all seems well. Thank goodness!

I found this problem also on mine this weekend.

The shoulder ratchet on both sides felt like they were welded solid. His arms wouldn't rotate making it seem like the figure didn't have a rotation joint there at all. Opening the chest gave access to the screw inside holding the arm on and it was TOO tight, causing the spring and joint to be locked up . Loosening both screws helps get it where it should be but I can see that screw working loose over time if you keep moving the arms around a lot.

If your shoulders won't move, this is the fix.

I’ve been considering a dab of superglue on those types of screws. The ones where the screw tightens or loosens depending on how you rotate he articulation.

I first noticed it on Roadking’s head. It would only go one way because he screw would tighten to the point where it locked up. So a dab of superglue, get the screw to the right tightness and then leave to set?

You could do that and I *think* it would work fine as long as you don't goof up and bind up something important.

Thinking about it now, some loc-tite would be the way to go. It'll lock that bolt in the threads but makes it removable if you really want to and won't gum up the joint.

Loctite Threadlocker Blue 242 from Loctite Adhesives

Blue (the color of the goo) would be the way to go. Red Loc-tite is more permanent vs "I want this to come apart with hand tools" blue. I would use very, VERY little because too much would be overkill for what we're doing and you wouldn't want to strip the screw trying to get it out or adjust it later if you needed to.

True, but i really hope FT will give their figures normal waist swivel from now on.
They've seen the complains from fans.
I boycotted phoenix in the dyas for not having waist swivel. Then bought him at reissue, because i do need a mp skyfire. He's great, just that swivel is a bummer.

Received my Iceman Tuesday, opened him Wednesday to find no instructions. Good times. Thankfully his transformation is fairly similar to Goose's.

This is a good figure but with some problems. I love the look and feel of mine but there are quite a few tolerance issues that can be resolved and some that can't. One tip for collapsing the back fuselage for jet mode is to slightly separate the legs and let everything flatten into place. Wings are a pain but safe and completely understandable why they separate. The problem for me is actually the nose of the jet. On the back of the canopy piece I had to file down the edges of the two sets of clips and it still doesn't fit. It would have required so much force that it would have broke the plastic. I cannot get it to sit and the problem I am having up front is getting the intakes over the sliding combiner clips. It goes over them at an angle but will not go down properly. They could have used the spring loaded telescoping rail for this piece to avoid this mess. I will figure it out eventually.

There is even purple which might be better suited for this application. Purple loctite

That happened to me with Quietus. Just shoot FT a message and they'll send you the instructions.

I didn't even know that one existed, thanks for the heads up! Yup the purple would be the best way to go. This isn't a high torque or vibration item so just something to grip the screw would be perfect.

Anyone order from BBTS and have this arrive yet?

They are usually reliable and easy, which is why I go with them, but apparently they didn't send my Sheridan order when others came in, so I'm getting a little nervous about relying on them now.

Based on a lot of the comments I see about FT Instructions (I think I've opened them for 1 figure ever, Rouge) you aren't really missing anything.
