Watching the preview on the new bluray. The animation reminds me of Archer only more fluid. Similar art style in a lot of looks.
Somehow shirtless smirking Superman striking from the sun seems really unnerving. I can only imagine the dawning horror of whatever fool is looking up and seeing that coming at them.
I wonder if this this the start of the new animated movie universe after the shitfest that the last movie was.
Shirtless Superman looks better than New 52-Post Superman. I'd take no costume over a dumb one, anyday.
You know what I think the art style actually looks better in motion than in still shots. And certainly a welcome change.
"starting off as a coffee boy." Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Superman/Clark Kent have a college degree? After googling: Huh, then why is always portrayed as some nobody in these things, who just walked in off the street with little to know education?
There are a billion different continuities and versions of this story across different mediums at this point. In some, he went to college, in others he wandered the Earth. In yet others, some combination of the two or something completely different.
In most versions yes, he has a college degree, though he is usually hired by Perry to write social interest stories and backpage stuff to start out with.
That's some wooden-ass animation. Also yeah, put me in the camp that immediately frowns at coffee-boy Clark. It's too humble, like a desperate attempt to juxtapose his greatness with something mundane, like when they make Orion Pax a "data clerk" because get it it's sooooo different from the amazing hero he'll one day be.
Well, I mean, in a lot of these direct to video movies, and some of the TV shows, it's just that he comes off as a complete baffoon. It'd just be nice to see educated Superman at some point.
