No roku yet unless you get it from hulu or youtube movies or amazon if they have it. Annoying guy (stop adding to your list! Wait till after the video!) looks at the app. Man how much did wb pay universal to let them stream harry potter? Universal owns streaming rights and must have got a great check for that! Also where is boomerang and own and tnt and tbs pages? TCM has tons of movies! Looks like they put any pre 2000 films there! Look at the website version.
Boomerang is it's own app sadly. I'm hoping it'll eventually fold into HBO Max but I doubt it. Same with DC Universe.
Yes but tom and jerry, yogi bear, wacky races, scooby doo, jetsons, smurfs and flinstones were promoted to be on it. Guess they will come later but no scooby is a surprise as big as he is. I have a roku of course so i payed for something i can't get on my living room tv yet and it's not on ps4 yet! (do i get a free month if it does not show up on roku this month?) This is a big fail not having the roku talks done with before launch. Also lol at this video.
Looking the catalogue. It seems rather... empty. While there is still plenty to watch, there’s not as much as I think people were hoping for.
Pretty sure there is a Max app for the PS4, but haven’t been able to confirm for myself yet. Either way, still bummed it’s not on Roku yet.
If you were already paying for HBO, you just got a whole bunch of free new shit, and if you weren’t, that TCM catalogue alone is worth the price of admission. Lots of Japanese, French, even German films on there, you could teach a great film course based on their titles at launch alone. I just put on the Sopranos pilot because all this really is the house that that team built. I love The Wire but it was never keeping the lights on by itself DC and Adult Swim did seem light, if I was just getting HBO for the first time for that kind of content I’d be pissed
Ps4 app is up. However it tells you to go to a site to type in the activate code google search, bing or msn can't find! Can't find it on the hbo max site also! So i can't set up the ps4 app! Can someone please post a link to this page if you find it! Not on firestick or roku also! The two biggest ones! Fail! With that said boomerang stuff is on max! They just don't have folders for them. Looney tunes looney tunes show tweety mysteries scooby doo where are you scooby and scrappy show (all 4 seasons) New scooby and scrappy show (this was the first season of the daphne is leader trilogy.) Note--not sure if scooby doo movies or scooby show are on there. Yogi bear shorts flinstones jetsons josie and the pussycats josie and the pussycats in outer space tom and jerry paddengton bear hanna barbera cartoon that was yanked off the boomerang app! (huh?) No smurfs or wacky races yet. Also note there's a leaving soon page so stuff will be yanked off max! (in fact there is a list of things on it on the first day!)
Don't remember. You can log into their website if you want to look at the list. Also-- HBO Max's lack of Roku and Amazon support casts a big shadow over its launch day Roku should come soon but things are not looking good for amazon fire.
From blu-ray.com-- HBO movies leaving HBO Max on May 31: Alot of fox films. The following movies are listed under Last Chance but don't have an expiration date: Coming to HBO Max on June 1:
How/why are movies already leaving three days after launch? They should of just removed it prior/at launch. Was it just to make their launch list look better....
That's some bullshit, they should just fold dcu into hbo max and get it over with You can side load hbo max on fire stick using the google play store alternative aptoide. I tried it today and it works just fine.
Got to have the incentive to use the service, and to remove the incentives from that service would kill it. Guess that’s why there’s so few of the Animated movies & shows on there too...
OK played around with the ps4 app and some comments. The studio ghibili films have both the english and japan with sub versions. They have a bunch of classic seseme street episodes. Not all but a good section of them. Yes the two droid episodes are on there. The classic looney tunes are in date order. Jetsons are both the 60s and 80s shows as is johney quest. Yogi bear does not have the 80s episodes but have the tv special yogi's birthday party but it's split in three parts. You can add single episodes to your playlist! HBO area has most of the new stuff but most movies before 2001 are on tcm area. There are tons of movies in the tcm area. If you like older films you will enjoy this area the most. Tom and jerry are classic shorts only. No filmation or 70s hanna barbera shorts. Some tex avery shorts have been snuck in as tom and jerry shorts. Has all 7 police academy films but no police academy cartoon or tv show. Needs more pre 90s tv shows. Where are the classic shows? Have alot of godzilla films. Has the first and last x-men films. Not sure why they didn't put the rest on there. Many classic hanna barbera cartoons are not in the cartoon network area. They don't have every popeye cartoon but do have some of the black and white cartoons. They do have the scooby doo show. New looney tunes are not bad.
Seems to be quite a few missing though, one of Rabbit Season shorts is missing, for one. Still, 31 seasons of upwards of 9 each. Also seems to be no particular order to them. Mostly Showa era, plus KotM from the MonsterVerse.
I browsed HBO Max’s content for a little bit last night, and I can’t say I’m all that thrilled with what they have. Part of the problem, between being a DC fan and having a regular HBO subscription for a few years, is that I’ve already seen (and own) a lot of this stuff. As of right now, I’m excited to revisit the Studio Ghibli movies and happy that they have Beware the Batman, since the DC Universe app didn’t have it when I first subscribed. After that though, kind of meh.
