I had a similar experience with my order. I ordered the 35th anniversary Soundblaster online and when I received the order it was 35th anniversary megatron. I went through the return process, so hopefully I will receive Soundblaster this time.

 

I think it's been said before in this thread and in the Target thread, you cannot rely on them using upc's because very often they go by case packs. they'll just reach into the box and pull out whatever figure is there because they're all the same size and under the same code.

 

All I know is the lady tole me the sole UPC listed under Thundercracker was what we were physically looking at on Megatron's box. I'm tempted to place another order for two more and two Megatron's just to see what I get. I'll just return whatever Megatron's show up.

just cancelled all my preorders because I found the 4 I wanted in my local walmart already...Scrapface, Magnus, Megatron, and Hotlink. They had the other 4 deluxes but I passed. So a scrapface and hotlink may or may not open up for preorder.

 

Yeah, that's what I ordered. Got 2 Megatron's instead.

yeah Magnus, I think I meant to quote the post above the one I did. Magnus was supposed to be 5-28 according to the order originally, while Hotlink and the Megs were sometime in June. I cancelled them because I found them in store this weekend, but my Walmart’s, all 5, don’t carry leader class figures.

If he was for sale online and my preorder is back ordered I’m going to be irritated. My Crosshairs preorder was back ordered several months from them until I finally just bought it at Amazon.

Omega, it’s not just TF. This happens with numerous toy preorders from them across multiple lines. Some are fine, but the ones that typically sell out of preorders usually end up back ordered or cancelled. Several SW black series (Ezra, Anakin, Darth Maul) we’re delayed months with no estimated date. I worked in the online pickup area last year for a second job and I know how terrible they run and fulfill online orders. Not even the market manager could explain why items went up for add to cart when preorders weren’t being filled. Though I don’t know why some get cancelled and others just stay on back order.

 

My Magnus pre-order started to move. The blue bar jumped one notch, so hurray!

 

The thumbnail images for Mirage and Scrapface on my pre-order on walmart.com, have now been replaced by images of Hound and Chromia.

So Siege Thundercracker and Grapple are in a case together? I tried to order a Thundercracker for store pickup at my local Walmart and they handed me a Grapple, so I had to get a refund since I already have him. If I order Thundercracker online and get him shipped to my door, am I gonna run into the same issue of possibly getting a Grapple instead? Or will that for sure give me a Thundercracker?

I read somewhere about Best Buy just shipping out a random figure from the case you ordered from, does Walmart do that too?

 

$16.99 for a Grapple? I would've kept him!   I'm guessing store pick up... was it same day pick up? If so, I'm guessing they just grabbed whatever voyager was on the shelf using the assortment number instead of the actual UPC?

If you have it shipped to your house, and/or if takes a few days to ship to the store instead of same day, it's probably coming for one of their .com distribution centers, so I guess it would indeed be a Thundercracker?

It was same day pickup, but I figured since they said they had Thundercracker in stock that it would be the right one. I'm gonna try getting it shipped here and if its the wrong one I'll just send it back for a refund and continue my search. I've got Starscream, Hotlink, now all I need is Thundercracker to finish my trio of attractively colored Seekers

 

Yeah things got a little screwy. If you click on them, the other images are correct though. Hopefully they send the right figure but judging by the conversation that just happened above^, that may not be the case.

 

Yeah its an assortment thing. Don't ever do same day pickup for transformers. You could get anything
