I hadn't seen any mention of this on the boards but it looks like 5Pro is making a 1:12 scale Inspector Gadget figure, as well as Brain, Penny, and Chief Quimby. http://5prostudio.com/blog/new-megahero-inspector-gadget-coming-soon/
I'd settle for a chair with an arm. There was an awful toy from 1992 that showed his face…but yeah I don't know how to solve that issue. I always imagined that he'd have a mask on, could be something that resembles the Mad logo but more sinister looking. Or just give him Quimby's head…we all suspected didn't we? lol
I think the design of the old Dr Claw figure (and video game boss!) was overall fine but he needed a less exaggerated toothy smile and a mask that resembled the MAD logo. The way they packaged that figure was genius though! Anyway, I like how this new Gadget looks. I’ll be watching with interest.
The theory my friends and I had way back was Claw looks just like Gadget. Twin brother and Penny's father. There were a few times in the show when the henchmen would see Claw and looked shocked at who they were seeing. I'll definitely pick up Gadget, Penny & Brain. How about a new version of the Gadgetmobile and the Madmobile. I have the old Madmobile and it rocks.
I would love a Inspector Gadget figure and i have the dvd complete series. I just wonder how much that figure is going to cost. Like others said,...... i would love a brain,Penny,Chief Quiby as well. If they are around the other figures cost I've seen from PlayStation characters cost i could see myself going in on this.
Claw sounds like a robot, there's no way he doesn't some cybernetics in his vocal processor ! But yes, the packaging of the original toy is 5/5 genius.
Claw did get a face, even in action figure form. The marketing was even smart enough to not reveal in package. Spoiler: Dr. Claw's real face Yep, this is his real face. And it's seems the canon face because it was also used for the SNES game.
Was thinking about what accessories Gadget should come with. Looks above like the hands on the hat arms might be able to be swapped with his arms. Hope so since his used his hands for the phone, not one out of his hat. My pick of accessories. (probably all pop on and off) Arm extensions Clear leg extensions with panted on 'springs' neck extension Roller skates - pegs on to foot holes Skis - same with skates hat copter hat - umbrella Spring that pugs into hat hole Multiple pairs of hands Badge - seen above Mission (paper for him to read) - both one for reading and crumpled up one he tosses away. Binoculars to cover his eyes
And Gadget is the only one close to call an "action figure". The rest are figurines with interchangeable parts. That's disappointing.
