I just can't get into stealth-oriented games. I've tried so many times and I just can't do it. My last attempt was Ghost of a Tail, which looked so amazing, but I just hate the "wait for the right moment to move" concept. I suppose I'm just too impatient...

I’m exactly the same and I tend to quit on games where if you set an alarm off it ruins your go. I have tried many times to get into metal gear solid games as they usually appear well made and are always well received by enthusiastic fans but I just end up getting annoyed by the stealth side and the long cut scenes probably don’t help with my levels of impatience.

The main exception to this rule for me is the dishonoured games as the game gives you quite a lot of freedom to play it how you want to, it just so happens that being stealthy and sneaky works well as the standard enemies will kill you with ease if try to engage loads of them at once and it isn’t too generous with ammo. The superpowers you get make being sneaky feel fun and intuitive rather than frustrating like normal.

I actually quite like the more stealthy sections in the Arkham games, I also like laying traps and observing movement patterns in horizon zero dawn as it makes you feel like an actual hunter and I tend to take advantage of the stealthy game mechanics in sekiro shadows die twice so I can sneak around if needed but as soon as a game becomes entirely a stealth game in that you are ruined when you get spotted it becomes frustrating very quickly for me.

Im amazed at how you can enjoy the single player for the last 6 years
Gta was the 1st gta where i didnt get distracted by the side modes and took me weeks to complete the story, once i got every single gun and drive mostly every single car i got bored of it after it i just focused on the online mode for the last 6-5 years but i agree gta 5 is getting boring i definitely feel burnt out, once a new online update comes out i play it for like 3 weeks and then i get bored i mostly play with friends but the thing i hate the most is the damn griefers but i do agree i hate that they scrapped their single player dlc plans for the online portion i wish they would innovate instead of giving us a new place to farm supplies to sell and cars
Rdr2 was fun too but after i finished the story i was done with the game i tried the online but its just not it and it sucks that take2 decided to prioritise it over the main story that game is a single player experience first and then online

Although I don't find any of them boring, I do prefer the more obviously tongue-in-cheek and arcadey approach of the first two games. That seems to be an unpopular opinion too.

It helps that I don’t exactly have a lot of nostalgia for GTA IV (apart from the Episodes from Liberty City DLC pack. Ballad of Gay Tony was so good). Just about every person who says they didn’t like GTA V always talk about how “IV has a better story/gameplay”. There’s just something about the campaign that I like. I’ve probably replayed it at least a couple dozen times. But I’ve finally grown bored with it. The prioritization of GTA Online has been really disappointing and why most of my hype for the next GTA game has gone down in the last few years.

I’ve enjoyed them. GTA 3, Vice City, San Andreas, and V are the best out of all of them. I just like the stories, settings (especially the 80’s setting in Vice City. I give Vice City most of the credit for my love for 80’s music), protagonists, and antagonists.

Recently replayed the first 6 Megaman X games, and honestly the more I play these, the less desire I have to return to X3. Almost always find myself revisiting all of the others, and gravitating towards the rest rather than X3, yes, even X6

    • "The Sony exclusive" end up being some of the worst games I have ever played.
    • Sonic Unleashed was the last good Sonic game until Mania.
    • The original Lego Batman is my favorite videogame of all time.
    • Megaman 2 is good, but Megaman 3,7, and 9 are much better games.
    • Batman Arkham Knight is one of the biggest gaming letdowns.
    • Pokemon X and Y are really fun games that get let down by a poorly paced story.
    • Sonic '06 is incredibly fun
    • Doom II > Doom 2016
    • DMC5 is better than DMC3
    • The Last of Us is Incredibly overrated.
    • The Overton window of game rating has shifted so high that a bad game is 6/10
    • TF2 has much more life and character than Overwatch.
    • Megaman X9 would have been a better idea than Megaman 11

I don't think many of those count as unpopular. Maybe the Sonic one but Sonic games are weird.

The "realism" in Metal Gear Solid 2 Sons of Liberty.
MGS2; Touted by many as (one of) the pinnacle(s) of PS2 graphics and character model quality & style on PS2 - Well, I think I finally found tangible evidence that it's overrated.

So I found the actual Raiden 3D character model for download online.
I have studied anatomy and character modeling at Vancouver Film School and arts academy for years; and I used this knowledge during my character modeling years professionally.

Even when taking things into consideration such as low poly budgets and artistic style, now having seen the actual 3D model of Raiden upclose in Cinema4D, I think it's safe to say my decades of criticism have now been proven to be valid when it comes to MGS2's character modeling.

So I took the character model and I didn't add or delete poly's - I simply shifted vertices in a quick edit, and I think I came up with what would have been a reasonable Raiden character model. (adjustments to arms, torso, legs and ankles).
I mean, come on.... the original Raiden character model has ABSURD proportions, it's anything but realistic. Yes, I am aware the point of the stylized look is part of the plot (scene with the President), but ...yeah, this is one of those things where Mr. Kojima does NOT deserve a pass imo.

I just find it to be way more fun! I really love the idea of putting on masks and changing into different things. It made for some really fun puzzles and such. The moon always used to creep me out so much and I love Skull Kid.

    Mmm let’s see...

Folks who complain about the weapons breaking mechanic in Zelda BOTW are just whining. It’s really not a problem at all.

Skyrim would be better if all the caves / dwarven ruins / etc. were 1/3 the current size. Making things bigger just to extend play time doesn’t improve the experience.

I’ve been replaying Mass Effect recently and while the first game treats it as the paragon choice, choosing Anderson as the human councillor is actually a really shitty idea. He’s ill-suited to the role and treats all his colleagues and contemporaries with, well, contempt and by Mass Effect 3 he’s abandoned the post to return to the military anyway which demonstrates he had no respect for the position he was given. I don’t like Donnel Udina much but in retrospect he is the superior choice for the role.

In fact Mass Effect kind of does the same thing a lot of military fiction/sci-fi does and treats all civil administrations, and the people within them as obstructionist and bipolar. And honestly that is in fact getting kind of tiresome as a thing.

X3's biggest failure is the fact that you don't get to unlock the Tatsumaki Senpukyaku like how X1 gets you the Hadoken or X2 the Shoryuken

    Half joking
