i will be buying mine from Toydojo as they are my go to store and the best around imho. but all the main 3 vendor's will have this at the same time. they all ship together and hit cali and then they are dispersed. so Toydojo, TCP and TFSource will basically all have this on the same day.

 

Just wished they made a complete Soundwave set with all the tapes or that they should have done it like THF.
Just make a Soundwave with laserbeak and Soundblaster with Ratbat or Buzzaw.
Make a set of Lazerbeak, Buzzaw, Ratbat, Ravage, Rumble and Frenzy loose.
The tape set loose and they would make a killing in sales.

 

Not the cleanest helicopter, but the only twin prop heli Transformer I know off the top of my head.

There was also a Wendy's kids meal Gobot named Breez that I apparently got as a kid (I remember the figure, nothing of it's origin so it took time to look it up) that looks fairly good in alt mode for a fast food toy.

I like auto scout I've got the KFC one for my MP soundwave.

 

There was also a Gobot that wasn't a fast food toy.

I had him as a kid and really liked him. Still a big fan of copter bots; there are so few good ones. (I WILL find Animated Blackout for a decent price one day... somehow.)


And now back to our regularly scheduled MS Soundwave release debacle.

These are both so much cooler than the TF one.

That vehicle could also make for a sweet Micromaster bot duo.

If they don't do them, I know I will. Development starts as soon as I get one of these guys in hand.

 

I don't really care one way or the other. It only raised his price by $5 so it's not a huge blow and I'll use him, either a a chest filler or I'll think of some funny scenes to use him in.

 

I just like imagining the physics of autoscout picking something up next to it with the claw and just tipping over. That’s why he didn’t get sent on a lot of missions or get multiple limbs or a voice.

They gave him one arm and just let him do his thing around the base like a cat pushing buttons on consoles it can reach. What’s not to love?

 

First 5 mins are Soundwave and his two tapes. Rumble transforms nearly identically as mine does, so that's cool, I guess. Not that I'm upset, just a bit amused that out of the two companies I talked to about my tape designs, the one that does KOs isn't the one making a Frenzy/Rumble much like mine.

Interesting storing one of the cassettes in the back of alt mode filling in part of the hollowness people were complaining about. Autoscout definitely looks better inside Soundwave's chest than Rumble does.

 

Humm... now the colours do look better under less harsh lighting. Still I'm inclined to wait and see if they do a Marvel comics version. I am tempted though the mould itself looks fantastic.

Soundwave looks so sharp, but man.. I really don't like Autoscout. Personal opinion, of course, and there is a part of me that thinks the more tapes, the better, but still...

Loving that Rumble and Laserbeak but have no interest in Soundblaster.... sigh guess I'll be missing out on a bird. Unless I can find it separately on ebay.

 

Me too. I think ppl were hoping the Soundwave cassettes to be a redemption of sorts (some combo of frumble/ buzz/ ravage), after being guided into buying a Soundblaster to get fan favorite Laserbeak. Unless you collected the Japanese headmasters series in 87' or followed the brief stint in the dreamwave comics, you're spending that money for Laserbeak and SB is the secondary figure you'll find loose on eBay or such..
