Get used to it. Whenever I'm one of the first people to get a figure I answer the same questions over and over. Sometimes months later.

I had a pin fall out on the lower torso at the waist so I had a chance to take the upper body apart partially and I do not see anything that locks or engages to limit the movment of the circled hinge. I was able to push and pull and look closely at things and there is nothing to lock.

That hinge appears to take all the weight of the upper chest and keeps it evelated above the waist tires. No amount of pushing locks anything into place as there is no place for something lock into.

Either my hinge is looser than yours or there is some part on mine that is missing that yours has. I even have the white trim below the windows and it will not stay elevated if I move the figure without my rubber spacer.

It must be a lot of work to film a stop motion transformation like that

Just for those wanting to get a better idea of how tall he is, here he is next to a 1/6 Indiana Jones on a stand. Or the Black Series ANH Vader (probably taller than most of TBS figures at almost 7”). 41682966-4652-4A5C-9D03-718D51508C4E.jpeg

Received mine today, no photos sadly.

Out of the box, I love it. Brilliant figure. But sadly on of the chest window frames was snapped. Solid pieces but still really thin and it just seems I got a bit of bad luck.

Kinda a bummer but I'm absolutely sure it's a fluke because the entire figure is solid as a rock.

I'm not really handling him at the moment until Shows can get me a replacement window but overall, what a figure *sad heart eyes*

Update: I've glued together Prime's Window Boob for now, will hope to get a replacement from Showz but for now I'm happy enough haha.

Also thought I'd give a runthrough of how I'm getting the chest to sit flat/solid for those who have it already.

There's a few joints that don't get used much and I thought I'd play with them a bit. My process is as follows.

    20200526_224944.jpg
    1. Make sure all of these back panels are completely flush, or as much as you can make it to the main chest area *you'll squeeze it soon anyways so less necessary*

    20200526_224923.jpg
    2. I've been putting this Sternum piece underneath the main Ab panel, it's double jointed, you'll want it down as much as possible, pull the ab piece forward and slip it behind.

    20200526_230235.jpg
    3. This little ab detail section (Yellow) should be pushed forward slightly by the friction between the sternum bit, try get it pulled forward as much as it'll stay. Line up the rest of your chest section and give it a big squeeze from front to back and it should kinda sit nicely with the collar bits (Blue, the panel the head is mounted on) below the window boobs.

Idk if they'll be helpful for anyone but hopefully it's some guidance for folks who want to give it a go.

I found a way to keep the chest from falling down.

Normally the front bumper is folded into the chest cavity like this:
    20200526_085326.jpg

If you instead fold the bumper underneath the cavity, like this: 20200526_085244.jpg

then the chest should rest on those panels instead of falling down

I sure hope TW gets their QC on point by the time they release the Exclusive.

I don’t think it’s a huge QC issue. There are so many folding joints that if they aren’t set quite right it doesn’t result in the desired outcome. That’s just life :(

Hey guys. I got Freedom Leader from Showz. Got the standard edition with the quick ship option and he arrived last Friday.

I hate to say this, but he is disappointing. First the good. He is incredibly striking. Great presence. Awesome paint and materials. Lots of metal. The legs are very sturdy and poseable. The accessories include two guns with working light and sound right out of the box. The guns are nicely painted as are the two boxes which both look rather awesome. The pieces allow for customization between earth and cybertronian modes.

The bad: that chest is so loose it is brutal. If you nudge it, it falls down. The fixes proposed here above like folding the bumper out are fine, but imperfect. Moving the arms pulls the chest up and down and makes everything feel flimsy. The arms don’t stay up as the outer joint isn’t tight enough. The inner joint is tighter as folks have said. No ratchets anywhere which is bewildering. and why did they include a head for the 3a toy? That is a very weird flex.

transformation is ok, but not fun. Clearance issues. It is slow and painful to shift things to fit into the truck cab and ultimately not worth the effort. The thing is so clearly better as a robot. In truck mode, I’m pretty sure the legs don’t even peg together. There is almost no leg transformation and it feels like cheating, like half a transformer toy.

This thing makes me regret not getting the 3a deluxe prime. Like, at its best this thing tries to be that toy, but falls short by not being rock solid in robot mode and lacking those neat features like exposing the spine on the 3a. I now realize I don’t care that it turns into a truck and I don’t want to go through the transformation.

It’s not that I hate complex transformers. I love UT Challenger. That transformation is genius and has no clearance issues. Both modes look cool (though freedom leader genuinely looks better as a robot) and flipping between them is fun!

Freedom Leader looks amazing standing on a shelf. But so would the 3a, and I would be less afraid to pick that one up and play with it. It seems sturdier and built to be handled. Plus it’s about the same price.

Don’t make the same mistake I did unless you are a masochist or you truly believe this looks better than the 3a.

By the way, anyone want to buy my Freedom Leader? Feel free to make an offer. AEAAD706-8927-403C-B9EB-D94EBD29434C.jpeg C2646C0F-08A0-4A2A-88E6-682F2DC1BAF0.jpeg DFC12DB7-D7CA-4B6E-9642-0A64DE6DBF05.jpeg

Couple more things. The hands are too loose at the wrists which makes holding his guns more of a challenge. Pieces fall off all over the place around the shoulders. I think this was designed so they would not permenantly break, but it’s still annoying and I think there are several things that could be glued without effecting transformation. If you end up with this, it’s kind of a project to decide how you want to display it and potentially glue things in to make it more sturdy. It’s cool you can customize it, but it’s not something I care about at all personally.

If the 3a did not exist, this thing would be amazing. It is well built and has excellent paint, sculpting and materials. It is very film accurate. And the price around $225 or so is very fair for what you get. I don’t completely hate it, but it’s just sat on my shelf all weekend, I don’t even want to pick it up.

The legs ABSOLUTELY tab in, and actually have (for prime truck legs) a fairly decent amount of folding bits. Did you unfold the metal peg in the back panel of the shin?

Oops! I stand corrected. Did I mention the instructions are a nightmare? Thank you though, that is very helpful info!

Oh the instructions are absolutely useless, I just managed to figure it all out on my own haha.

As for the legs, it also took me a while to notice the main shin part slides to the side, That's also handy.

Since I have time, maybe I should just spring for ToyLab.

Though I finally got my Zeta Bee yesterday and I know TW will look cool AF standing next to him giving fatherly advice.

I'll see. Still waiting for Deluxe to be in stock on Show Z before making any moves.

Man what's the big deal if people want to ask a question whether or not its been answered before. Sometimes you dont my want to scroll through a shit load of pages looking for a specific piece of info when it's easier just to ask and someone that is currently reading that thread might answer you. It's not like that are asking you guys in particular which is how you make it sound.

Mine came in today and he has issues. The pins that go inside the lower spine are completely missing so he splits apart at the spine. Literally the upper half and the lower half.
My lights on top of the cab keep falling off and one of the chest (windshield) pieces keeps popping off. I think there was supposed to be a pin there too. On one side of the cab the peg will not fit into the slot under the rear view mirror.
The whole thing feels off kilter.
I love complex transformations (love my Zeta Pioneer and Gcreations Ultra Maxmus), but this thing looks pretty good as a static figure and stinks as a transformer. You can't move or pose him without things falling off.
I have the Toyworld Throttlebots and to me they are of better quality. Was considering buying a second one, a deluxe, but no more.
    Buyer beware!
