figure of the decade by far. it set the gold standard for the time and put 3p on the map with mp products. without qw setting the standard we'd still be playing with overpriced chug 3p figures.

sure its outdated now but it represents the starting point of why we have such great toys today.

 

There already was a v2 Quakewave. It was a different shade of purple and the hose was ribbed for whose pleasure, I have no idea... The ribbed hose looked like ass IMO.

 

Fortunately there are smooth hose kits for Quakewave all over Ebay.

 

For Primes sake guys, put them bots in plexi glass cases! I used to have them out in the open and space dust aint good for their health.

Got one of those as soon as I knew I had the actual figure locked down!

 

Congrats. I was able to score one off Ebay last year after missing out on it's initial release years back.

 

So still haven't opened the figure but I opened the head and oddly enough the head I bought separate is corroded/rusted. And the one solder joint is broken off and not connected. Good thing I'm a mechanic. I got this! Still kinda sucks though. Opening figure now....

Decided to open it, figure is beautiful but ad its misb alot of the joints like fused together and were a pita to get to move. But all is good now. Except that the replacement head was terribly rusted/corroded inside and the head on the figure had a broken solder joint. So I gotta repair it. But man does it look amazing

Ello. I recently acquired an unboxed 2nd hand quakewave (for reasons), but I was wondering which version it is. It's either the rerelease or the T version, but I'm damned if I know.


Second one guest stars my mates original flavour quakewave (he doesn't know either). It's not particularly important, but It'd be nice to know regardless.

 

The one on the right is the Toy version. The difference is just a darker purple and a ribbed hose. Very nice figure btw. Gratz
