Canceled my BBTS preorder which had earlier this week given me a 10 day notice. Saves me a few dollars though.

 

I've had this issue with a lot of stops in Amazon's chain (so it's not just CA unfortunately). Also a lot of late packages from them. Hoping this won't be the "new normal"

 

It's not just that, it's also that most items come into the coastal distribution centers as a point of entry, and then they're forwarded to the central warehouses and distros to get the product to all of the locations so you can get next or two-day delivery. Sometimes, they'll fulfill far-flung orders first, then the local ones, so they can keep all the customers happy. Other times, it'll take a week for one located on the coast to get to the inner part of the country. When ROTF Megatron and Mixmaster became available, Mixmaster shipped within...three (I think?) days, but Megatron took the full week, even though they charged my card immediately. It all depends on where the stock is located, and when the order is due to go out, and now the pandemic requirements.

Now with everything coming into those centers (both foreign and domestic) and they have crews processing both types of shipments, it's going to be delayed and have odd movements that make no sense.

Heck, I ordered some Sentai/Japanese Power Rangers from them, about three years ago, and it was supposed to arrive next day and they shipped one of the components from NY to CA. ...I live in Ohio, which clearly means they flew OVER me, so they apologized and overnighted me the item from another center out of Maryland (or Delaware? Somewhere in that region.) They deemed the one in CA as "lost" in their system. It was a mess before the pandemic, I can't imagine it's gotten better since.

That said, I've had more positive experiences with Amazon than negative, enough to the point that I'll continue shopping with them. Bezos is no hero in my book and I'm sad he sees a dime of my money, but he's just another rogue for the gallery to humanity's Batman, basically. If it's not him, it'll be Walmart or Target. *shrugs*

Yeah I’ve seen some wacky stuff on my tracking results too. Sometimes I think it’s a glitch because it clears up, but other times it doesn’t .

 

Amazon said even though the carrier info didn't update on my account, it shows to them the carrier changed the delivery date to the 26th. This is the 4th time it changed...

 

That's a PITA. What did you order? (is this the stuff for your daughter's hair or something else?)

 

It was a new bike for her birthday. Last 1 in stock.

It was obviously stolen [if it's gone] as ups can't just misplace a huge box like a bike...

It's really hard to find a bike right now that's reasonably priced. The bikes shops around me are more for pro bikes and bikes for 5-6yr olds are like $200.

 

Not surprised, glad I got my son's when it was on sale right when the pandemic started.

 

No, it's a Shimmer and Shine 16". Basically the same thing, smaller size. These bikes go for crazy prices these day. I bought her a $20 14inch bike in march on facebook marketplace. In the last 2 months she grew 2 inches, plus the bike I bought her has a bald spot on the back wheel. So, I wanted to get a new one, and just go for the next size up.

But, good news is after 15 days it's out for delivery. Don't know what troubles this bike has seen on the way. Just be cautious with amazon right now. This bike shipped with prime  .

 

Amazon is basically useless for huge packages right now. I ordered a lawnmower, shit took a week to get to me, and after three days of being "out for delivery" we just pushed for a refund. Never gonna see the damn thing. I get it, and I'm glad they refunded me, but they at least could've told me it wasn't gonna happen instead of just updating the status four times.

 

Wow, it was out of delivery and you didn't get it? Now, I'm scared.....
