Pulse usually has a roughly 2 month delay compared to other sites when it comes to takara imports

This is true, with Star Convoy and Seacons. It remains to be seen if this is the norm.

7 out of 7 for selects and several masterpieces seems to be a pretty good pattern to make people aware of ;)

Feels like they are doing the cheapest shipping they can to save on costs, and that shows it

I think I'm gonna try and buy this figure god neptune but willing everything goes well. I missed the first mold go around but I'm not missing this second. So count me in with buying a copy. I REALLY hope the first of the mold of Seascons is offered further down the line.

Keep in mind that there is also an added step of the outer black box during production for the pulse orders. It may not be the reason for the full 2 month delay, but it is possibly a contributing factor.

so checking out tfwiki and some other info the definitive (canon? mabye?) answer here is the full sized yellow prime and spy changer prime are two separate characters.

the "ask vector prime" thing states the spychanger yellow is specifically female and all the RID characters from that universe are female and are all spychangers.

a "hot shot's bot thoughts" story says that armada hot shot wanted to prove how easy it was to get the matrix, took it, then upgraded himself to 'shotimus prime'.

so big version is shotimus prime and little version is splendid convoy

if ask vector prime is "canon" then so is hot shot's bot thoughts. both were TFCC things.

honestly it's a to each their own situation but if "canon" is what you go by here's your answer.

I know of at least one here who really belives Hasbro would definitly listen to him, at least that´s what he told me (btw. it´s also in this exact thread, just look for a older post from me ;) ).

I am honest, God Neptune looks good and I like the fact that Takara went out of their way to retool Tentakill to give us a more female looking Scylla.

With that out of the way, I want this figure to be a retail release, that costs only a quarter what it does now and Targwall has to give me another 60%, nah screw that, 85% off or I consider the figure still overpriced.

Ask Vector Prime wasn't really a TFCC thing? It was run on Hasbro's website, Facebook and even published in the AllSpark Almanac. There's no reason it shouldn't be considered canon.

Since it's consistent, I'd assume it's part of the agreement that lets Pulse sell the figures at the price they do. If it were some kind of production or shipping thing it wouldn't be nearly as consistent.

Takara has the initial release, with sales from e-tailers coming from their end. Since e-tail charges a markup, Takara gets a bigger cut.

In order to sell them without a markup, but still get a cut, Takara probably has Hasbro/Pulse delay the release. So anyone who wants it sooner, in theory, goes through Takara (or an e-tailer who already has).

That makes sense, and that delay gives them enough time to print the black boxes and add them to all of the pulse orders. Do MP releases through pulse also get the extra outer boxes? Genuinely curious

This is very plausible. If that is the case, some transparency would be appropriate. If there is a built in delay, it should be reflected in the initial release date listed on their website. Not doing so comes off as dishonest.

They typically post the Takara release date, which is what they are initially given. Then Takara issues Pulse a revised release date and Pulse alerts their customers that have preordered. There is nothing dishonest about it considering Pulse is at the mercy of Takara for these figures. If anything Takara should be giving them an accurate date from the start.

Cool, wasn't sure about that one

More surprised not to see Sari Sumdac, who I think of as the iconic yellow fembot.
