I think they work well...I never liked the idea of most fembots being the same size as like Hot Rod, Drift, and the others. I like that they are smaller, with only Override and Titanika being bigger. But yeah Azalea and Asterisks Azalea are the only 2 I never got. I got the assassin, Solus Prime, Elita 1, Paradron Medic, and the orange and purple 2 pack.

I want a Fulcrum. The only one of the Scavengers that Hasbro won't ever make.

Rung is at a least a *nothing*, it’s hard sell to kids for someone who becomes a bomb.

Keep the alt. mode of Kaon (Vos is the sniper rifle) even - have Rung turn into a therapy chair.

    Shock therapy.

I was referring to hasbro. Since we didn’t think they’d make a Rung toy until they did recently.

We all have our opinions but I never understood this.

I am 5’7” in real life. There is a metric ******** ton of taller women than I. There is also many women who are over 5’9” as well.

I never understood why female bots = need to shorter than the guy bots.

Arcee also isn’t dainty in IDW. Neither is Nautica, Firestar, Chromia and Velocity.

You could argue Windblade is “dainty,” as in her actual and quite literal frame — but she is nearly as tall as Starscream in the IDW continuity — making her “seeker size”; which means in all actuality, she should be taller than Rodimus (not even the same size - but *bigger*) but perhaps a half a head shorter than Thundercracker, Starscream and Cyclonus.

Again. Not knocking your opinion, just don’t really agree of course. I am grateful though MMC has been more scale consistent after their initial IDW Azalea and mold-sister releases.

Well, you are entitled to your opinion. As emgo says in his reviews, it's your toy display it how you want. But I will disagree on your statement about the fembots being bigger than Rodimus and as big as Starscream. It really depends on which issue you read. There are some panels where Nautica looks almost as big as Riptide who would consider a large voyager, small leader scale. Yet there she is in a few panels later and she's well shorter than Skids (an average deluxe size character at best). There are even times she's shown barely the same size as Nightbeat. Now the reasoning behind Arcee's IDW size is explained as she's Galvatron's twin. And wasn't born a fembot. She was a male spark put into a fem mold. Even in the cartoons she's noticeably shorter than Springer and even Hot Rod. Even in the Spotlight comics though Arcee is obviously smaller than Hardhead who at best would be a Voyager. So it really depends on your take of which specific issue you want to compare fembots to male bots/cons. I think they are right on the money with Strika and Override. I think they are on the money with their Azalea line. I even just added FP Echara and Comera, and PE RC Motobot Pink to my growing list of fems. FP are well bigger, while motobot is shorter. I would have liked the Elita 1 to be bigger, but I use her in my generations line and use the Hasbro POTP Elita in my IDW scale.

I agree especially with Windblade. Especially in her first debut when Milne drew her, she was frickin built up. And I love that design a lot. Sara and Sarah’s are both great but she looks so empowered constantly.

My ideal fembot scaling would be something like this.

    femscale.png

Can't say I care about whatever would supposedly be accurate. Across the board I just want bigger better and more varied fem toy designs and sticking to deluxes would hold all that back. Windblade in particular would be very nice as a small voyager given she's on the skinnier end of things you'd still be able to give her some decent mass.

The problem with deluxes and fems is they all inevitably end up so skinny you're forced to give them ugly backpacks or have uselessly weak arms that can only hold tiny weapons etc. The more plastic you have to work with the better the toy can be and any transformer toy is ideally one that is as solid and posable as possible.

My hope for mmc's future fem efforts is avoiding the whole skinny limb tiny foot "plague" that haunts fembot toy design eternally so we can finally get some truly outstanding molds of them.

Agreed. The idea that every fembot has to be small is ridiculous; there are loads of tall women irl. We need more fembot figures, and we need them in various size classes. Not just for IDW, but across the franchise. This is another reason why I’m excited for IF-01 lady Tarn, or whatever her name will be.

But for IDW specifically, I’m still waiting for really nice versions of Nautica, Velocity, and Windblade (although the Flame Toys model kit looks nice). I wouldn’t mind another attempt at Arcee either. And honestly I think a Mistress of Flame figure would be dope, I like her design.

Yeah that lady Tarn sounds dope, I think I even read that she might be taller than normal Tarn? Which is awesome. I can imagine other cool fembots being totally massive, like some of the micromasters in a fun ironic way.

Nautica and Velocity would be instabuys for me. Windblade probably as well. I use my Stealth Azalae (Ocular max) as my idw Arcee, and I like how it work. She is tall, but then again, she's
    Galvatron's sister
    so it seems fitting.

I think this is my top wishes from MMC/Reformatted atm (not mentioning Chromedome as he's in the pipeline)
    1. Nautica
    2. Rung
    3. Velocity
    4. Ratchet or First Aid (I'm not sure I need both... I think I'd prefer Ratchet ultimately)
    5. Fangry
    6. Lost light Whirl (Turben is ok, but he's on my wrecker shelf)
    7. Fort Max

Honestly I think you could equally sell Fulcrum as 'nothing', just one with a slightly more aerodynamic shape

Also agreed that Nautica, Arcee etc are not small characters and I dont feel I live in a world where women have the size differences some people are expecting from Transformers. I feel like T30 Chromia or a third party legends is more likely than MMC continuing that oddity of scale, if just because they dont do figures that size. Theres some room for interpretation. A Windblade that cant go up against Starscream and Optimus doesnt work for me, Chromia and Nautica can be a little smaller (Windblade is a jet like Starscream while Chromia is a big bike, whatever thats worth once they're all off Earth) but they still need to go with each other and characters like Rodimus, hypothetical Skids. We got some nice diverse designs from IDW, MMC sometimes deviate from that a bit too much for me but hopefully they do some women and nail that.

I'm deciding exactly which one, probably Tyrantron, but I'm going to pick up my first MMC figure soon and pre-order Chromedome and Rewind too

Nah, Hasbro's gotten away with some obvious alt. modes by basically presenting them differently. Universe 2008 Ravage turned into a cassette compatible with G1 Soundwave's chest but at the time Hasbro believed kids wouldn't know what a cassette tape was (naturally I got great amusement out of this years later when Guardians of the Galaxy made cassettes relevant in pop culture again), so instead it was billed as a 'prisoner transport mode'.

The far more blatant one is, of course, Sixshot's gun mode. Or rather, its "replacement" - the submarine mode.
Obviously this is nothing more than the gun mode inverted, but Hasbro managed to get away with it.

There's also Siege Shockwave, which essentially does the exact same thing except he has the Transtech Armor attachments which disguises the upside down gun form as the Nemesis instead.

With Fulcrum, I figure they could make the bomb be passed off as something like maybe a really, really fat spaceship which just happens to look exactly like a stereotypical bomb. The problem is that, ultimately, Fulcrum really isn't that prominent a character to deserve a toy slot.
