No new info came from the Retro line since the initial leak. I'm guessing that they are waiting for a Fan Friday to release.

I think Mantis is going to be Gung-Ho but I hope it’s Grunt.

My guess is it’s just like the Transformers G1 releases in “retro” packaging. $13 bucks for a 3.75 inch o-ring Joe is a fucking rip-off though. I was about to type no way am I buying those..... but yeah you know I’m buying those. Fuck.

Thats what I love about retail G.I.Joe leaks, on hisstank, for Classified, they figured out the codenames have the first letters in their actual names.

    One of them:
    Lady Bug
    Lady Baroness.

On the retro line, I need to see what comes out for me to buy into it. Will definitely be in for a Hisstank.

    How is Tarantula, Snake-Eyes?
    Or Mosquito, Scarlet?

Biggest money maker would be reissues of the original ARAH figures. Personally, I would be mad as the value of original carded figures will drop in value. Maybe it's time to sell and hedge by bet, but I did not buy all this stuff for resale.

I said Classified wise, it is completely different for the vintage line.

I wouldn’t sell, honestly. Look at the vintage MISB TF market...I don’t think the recent reissues have affected those prices much!

Classified wise Mosquito is Scarlet and Tarantula is Snake-Eyes. That's verifiable via the original Wal-Mart listings using those code names and then changing to their actual names once it went live.

Tarantula 2? We know that is Snake Eyes, so it could either be movie SE, or Commando SE.

The codes are an ass-kicker. Could be no code at all, I think they’re colors, maybe.

I can’t figure it out either. Colors work for some...letters seem to work for others...maybe it’s a mix.

    More brain droppings:

    - Dung Beetles eat shit...which is brown...like Duke’s shirt
    - Mosquitos eat blood...which is red...Like Scarlett’s hair (this theory was previously put forth)
    - Mountain lions and pumas and shit eat meat...which is red...like those red ninja guys
    - Mayflies eat weeds and algae...which are typically green...like Roadblock’s jacket

Yeah, until the listings change to the actual character I don't think there's a way to figure out who's who... at least not as easily as the codes for PR Lightning Collection. About the only thing we can safely say is that if X code equals X character for Classified than Hasbro will be using that code to refer to the character in both the upcoming movie and retro lines as well.

I doubt there is a code. This looks like just an arbitrary assigning of an animal or insect name to a character.

I have my doubts it'll be the original o-ring figures since Hasbro was very adamant about stepping away from o-ring Joes(probably due to cost).

I think the retro figures will be repaints of Retaliation Ultimate non-movie figures, 30th/50th anniversary figures.

I bet you’re wrong and it’s like the retro Transformers. They charged a massive premium on nostalgia and little more. Cheap product big return.

For Transformers, have the recreated the molds or are they the original molds from the 80’s. It was reported that many Joe molds are resting at the bottom Pacific Ocean. For these to be o-ring Hasbro would have to go back and recreate the molds, which there would be precedence for if that’s what they do for Transformers.

If Hasbro where to cast new molds off of the original ARAH toys (if the original molds are destroyed or lost), I think there would be a huge market for the o-ring toys, and Hasbro will just add a premium price, how many people would pay $15 for a clean, mint Crimson Guard or BAT?

The retro figures are already in Walmart's computer system for $12.96, is that enough to make Hasbro a profit while also taking into account the possibly higher cost of using metal screws/rivets/hip t-bars and rubber orings for o-ring figures VS the all plastic construction of 25th/POC/30th/50th Joes? That remains to be seen.
