Yeah they were never merged by a mod.but I think they have the word “mod” flagged so maybe they’ll see this.

 

It's increadible that such small figures looking so good.
They did ravage right. And Fanstoys can't get it right at mp scale while these guys does it in legends.

I wonder if people who are unhappy with the MS Soundwave (the blue and the splitting of the tapes) will now look to see what NA does.

I actually thought the minions looked better by MS so hopefully NA can revise theirs enough before a prototype is done.

 

I never liked the colour much on MS Soundwave so I'm going with MS Soundblaster and NA Soundwave to get both molds. I"m pretty confident the colours at least will be nicer on NA.

 

I am still leaning toward NA over MS Soundwave. Even though I really like the proportions and leg design on the MS version, I’ve never yet regretted getting an NA over an MS bot.

As for the cassettes, I prefer Rumble/Frenzy and Ratbat from the MS version, but I prefer Laserbeak and Ravage from the NA version. So that’s essentially a tie.

 

Easier to fix the paint than it is to fix the core design

I'll go with MS- if the paint really bothers me, I can do my own job on it

The biggest problem is MS Laserbeak looks so perfect and NA’s doesn’t.

That is exactly my thought too. It is the Laserbeak that looks off to me on the NA version.

I doubt they will fit NA but if the MS cassette Pack is true I might just pick that up for the alt modes.

 

That's true. I like the sculpt on MS, but I'm probably in the minority wanting to just leave him in boombox mode with some MPs so paint will probably make it pop more

 

Interesting... while I agree that MS’s Laserbeak looks very good, I actually slightly prefer NA’s. It has a smidge more detail (vents on the boosters, little guns) and its backpack looks more cohesive than the MS version. MS’s has more posable wings, but it’s also at the expense of having giant visible hinges in the middle of them. Also, while it’s a super small difference, MS’s beak is a bit more hooked (though not as much as the G1 toy), while I feel like both NA’s and the cartoon version have a slightly less pronounced hook.

I dunno, haha, maybe I’m just trying to rationalize getting NA’s version. They are both good representations of the character, to me (and a huge upgrade from the flat little DX9 versions).

 

I bet Newage will be capitalising on MS' decision

 

If NA has the better tape forms, then I may consider getting it.
The tape aesthetics alone are enough to deter me

 

Hope we see some updates soon. I’m tempted to get the MS Soundblaster just to hold me over until the NA variants release. I’m a NA collector but the proportions of the MS bot mode are just fantastic.
