Hey guys just ordered not Swindle and not Onslaught and I’m very excited is MMC doing anymore all in combiners after Bruticus? I seem to remember another tease but I could be wrong.

 

They confirmed they're doing the Protectobots.

This looks like one of the earlier samples. The later ones have darker gray wheels on his shins.

 

I've been looking at a few videos of incursus and while it looks like the leg bots attach really well, it looks like right above the part where they attach there is another joint on the thigh (maybe onslaught ankle joint?) that seems like it comes un-pegged or just moves a lot I don't have the figure yet so idk. Seems kinda weird to have the legs tab in at 3 points and then just have another joint right above that makes it less sturdy. How does this part work? I can't really tell from videos.

Also how do the shoulders seem? they look like the lock in pretty nice.

 

What's the eta on Blast Off?

 

Last we heard was in June

 

Their are multiple tabs that lock in Onslaughts ankle tilts for leg mode. The way the rear heel panels fold up on the back of his legs and are tabbed on literally makes it impossible for his feet to move when he's in torso mode.

The combiner thighs are incredibly rock solid and work flawlessly from what I've experienced so I have no idea if you saw someone transforming him wrong, handling him bad or you're just paranoid about nothing.

 

Yeah. There's multiple layers of tabs and sandwiched panels that prevent Incursus' feet from moving at all in that configuration.

I had seen some of the earlier reviews, like Paik's, where they were trying to figure out the transformation without instructions and missed some of the various tabs and locks for the various configurations, so that might be what's being referred to.

 

The shoulders seem alright. I have onslought and vortex. But, there is a certain limit. The hinge is part of onslought, and as a result there is no way to pull a backward butterfly. It has joints in the arms like gen toys scrapper. But, this issue is more apparent as the green connectors stick out, and not in a good way. If I could suggest a fix, looking backwards, the arm connections should have been deeper in the body, and the arm joint should have been manufactured inside vortex and blast off. I get they're not as solid as jncrusus but still. Nonetheless, I'm still all in

 

I can't speak for Blast-Off, but Vortex couldn't have had a more robust, built-in joint system, as the cavity where that would have been located is occupied by the Combiner hand in vehicle mode.

In committing to the "All Built-In" gimmick, there's certain constraints to other engineering problems that are created.

 

I get that but still. Wish there was a way around that.

Man! That looks Niceeeeeee!

I like the toon head options for those who want it, I just prefer the purple eyes as I think it looks better.
