A bit off topic, but is anyone noticing that fanshobby is just making characters that don't seem to get any representation? Cause otherwise, it's really random. Like one second its monsterbots, another second g2 and scourge, and another masterforce, and another second armada. Theyre not really obscure, as some of these are well known, but rather don't seem to be those that get toys. So I'm wondering once we get prime and components, and megatron and components, will they jump again. Seriously, who's next?

 

How about Moosetron, not as an insult to the character but in memory of the fan who went by the same name who loved Armada Megatron and passed away of leukemia on New Year's Eve of 2013? I'm sure he's super jelly we'll get the chance to own this figure, it'd be a sweet tribute.

If there's not really any alternatives for non gun MP Megatrons that resemble G1.

The fact that this niche hasn't been filled yet is surpising, as it probably sell well with people who either never liked gun mode megatron or can't buy/own one due to their countries replica weapon laws.

On the other hand it's also not really surprising as a lot of third party makers seem to recycle the same characters, for example all the Jazz, Optimus, Starscream, etc figures.

 

We're finally getting a Masterpiece Armada Megatron after all these years and your surprised that people have issue with the fact that it's inaccurate in one major way?

Even if the tank is changed that doesn't change the fact that this revealed figure has the wrong alt mode which is made more glaring since their Optimus is accurate.

Their Optimus isn’t really that accurate, it looks good don’t get me wrong but it’s definitely far from accurate. It’s more an inspired by design with some Fanshobby flavour.

I think this guy is going to get a major design overhaul due to the reactions from fans on their socials and we will probably see more once their Optimus gets to the colour test shot phase.

This is the only tank version of Megatron FansHobby needs to be focused on right now.

This ship has long sailed, even Fanshobby think so. I’m sorry to say that I really doubt that they will make a G2 Megatron.


They’d have to reissue their Gunfighter on top of it, and it doesn’t sound like it’d be a smart move financially.

 

It is no worse an idea than a piss poor attempt at an Armada Megatron.

It’s even a miracle that a 3rd party company is shifting out something other than another G1 Megatron. No one is forcing you to buy this either.

 

Well let's point out they'll be making it better as time goes on. Also, we're getting a optimus to go with their megatron, so its best to sell both within the span, as fans are likely to want both so they may face off on the shelf. Megatron was pushed off to long, and as a result, its been a good year or three since their optimus was released. But, maybe if another company makes a g2 optimus, maybe they'll make that megs to match optimus? Food for thought

 

Exactly right, I feel bad for those that wanted their MB-10 but I sold my Gunfighter I didn’t think it was actually that great in my opinion, maybe it just wasn’t for me.

I’m sure this Megatron is going to be beastly when we see the new design. I’m hoping they’ve changed the arm blade a bit because the original toy was hindered by it. Maybe it slides out on the forearm and it can be removed and held in the hand?

 

Also, maybe they can aTtach it to a hinge system that lies against the bottom of the arm, and when in use, the hinge system can be manipulated so it can be moved into a hand, especially since most mp hands now open up. The knife would also look nice on the tank like dessert tanks, will all that random junk on them. Your idea is what they're most likely to go with, but is nice to also suggest more

 

I think I understand what you’re suggesting, I do want some random detail on the tank mode because the thing itself is a beast. Always loved the H tank design, I wonder if they’ll actually add random things like shovels and fuel cans as detail.

I suggested for them to add roof lights to the top of their Optimus cab and they said they’d look into it, I wasn’t sure what it was missing but then I realised theirs currently doesn’t have them.

It’s the small things that make them fun. I wonder if Megatron will have Mini-con ports all over like the original toy, I’d personally take that as a very likely suggestion that they plan to do their own Mini-Con’s. I want them to do the main 3 trios, I don’t mind if they don’t do the Perceptor team because I still have my original set from back in the day (I always forget their names).

 

Whatever, enjoy waiting years for another company to make one, if ever.

 

If they add minicon ports, I hope they can fold in, so that you can have them, but as an option
And if they're doing minicons, I wonder how large the minicons will be. And how articulate, and how many packs they will make

 

They’ll do it the same way as they are on their Optimus where the pegs fold down flush. I don’t see why they’d change it, and I think it would be reasonable to expect the Space, Race and Air Defense teams if they do one of the 3. They’ll probably be as articulated as their Sparkplug.

 

Hmm. Good point. They are starting to expand the masterforce series, so maybe they'll have an armada line and the jp line?

 

I think they might just do a few characters I don’t think they’ve really got solid plans for who they’ll do, they don’t really do roadmaps it’s more like “here’s a render enjoy”
