Optimus Prime with Trailer and Sideswipe


This set uses molds from 3 different series. This red Sideswipe is just a shiny version of the 2009 ROTF Deluxe Swerve and the mold has not been used in 5 years. The Trailer is a chromed Masterpiece MP-10 trailer. The cab is a premium painted First Edition AOE Optimus Prime.

Leader Grimlock and Optimus Prime (Kmart)


Optimus is loaded with Chrome. Grimlock is leaded with metallic paint.

These figures are more detailed than TakaraTomy's single releases.

Breakout Battle



The Rollbar Toys R Us Japan single release is identical to this Platinum version. However, the artwork for Rollbar in robot mode is different. Since Rollbar is a redeco of Generations Deluxe G1 Skids, it does not have a mouthplate. However, the one-step changer has a mouthplate. The Toys R Us Japan version came after the Platinum version so it has the more accurate artwork.

On the Other hand, the Scrapyard Optimus Prime had a different deco than the Toys R Us Japan Rusty Optimus Prime. The Japanese one is more movie accurate.


Voyager Optimus Prime and Grimlock


There is a lot of chrome on these two.

Dinobots Unleashed 5-pack


These are similar to the Japanese Black Knight Dinobots but with chrome and "battle damage wear" details.

G1 Dinobots


This set uses the black generations 30th Anniversary packaging instead of the white AOE and has all remolded heads to represent the G1 versions of the dinobots.

First Edition: US unpainted weapons, TakaraTomy Release, Silver Knight (Target 28/30)
Platinum Edition

The first batch of First Edition Optimus had unpainted weapons and later versions like TakaraTomy had painted weapons


Unique characters: 1-step Steeljaw, 1-step Rollbar, 1-step Stinger (Walmart), TED-05 Junkion
Power Battler Vehicon, Power Battler Junkheap

These above characters did not have Legion, Deluxe, Voyager, or Leader Class versions at the time, although Deluxe Stinger was available later. 1-step Rollbar has a mouth plate, whereas the Deluxe Generations Skids redeco does not have a mask. Rollbar's vehicle mode is more accurate than the Skids repaint too.
