The logic behind a quarterback that couldn't beat the 0-4 Jets last season asking for Mahomes/Jackson money is hilarious.
he's trying to hold out for $45 mil a year for four years with some kind of bonus in the final year then taking $35 (i think) mil a year for 5 years. he's gonna bleed the cowboys cap dry and give nothing in return....but fuck em if they go with that and expect playoff wins.
...The future of the NFC lies in NFC South. The East always crumbles and if you do a hodgepodge between the North and the West you could end up with 2 solid divisions.
I feel like the NFC South still leans heavily towards the Saints' favor. The NFC West is a legitimate tossup, and I feel like the Cardinals might be the dark horse of the NFL this season.
Considering the quarterbacks in the NFC South, the Saints may have a little bit of trouble trying to claim the South title this year.
I can definitely see a tighter gap between the teams' records. After the NFC West, they're probably the division I'm most excited to watch.
so i'm looking at the bright side when it comes to cam newton being a patriot. i'm not happy with his temper tantrums and how he dresses like my grandmother but eh...we'll see what changes when he has a coach that doesn't put up with diva bullshit. cam is hard to bring down, he's got a great arm, and has the ability to extend plays that seem lost. he can also run an RPO which is something the defense struggles to play well against....maybe he can offer insight so playing teams like the chiefs and ravens aren't as difficult. i wanted to see stidham but i'm fine waiting a year letting him get more comfortable and have someone like cam who's always been well liked by his teammates there to help him along. this is the first season in a long time where i've got no idea what to expect from new england.
That was some amazing verbal gymnastics on the Panthers' part - "Oh, we meant retired guys!" Sure you did.
