My Slaanesh Warriors are going to be that color combo with a pinch of lavender, baby blue, and silver details
I've had Siege Chromia for about a year now, and she really isn't great. Generations Chromia benefits from shared engineering with the truly excellent Prime Arcee figure, and although the kibble is more awkward and the translucent plastic is slightly worrying, I find Generations Chromia vastly superior to the Siege version. Plus she fits the general IDW1 aesthetic I'm going for in my Generations collection.
I wholeheartedly agree. Siege Chromia was my so far only case of buyers remorse in Siege - though to be clear, I only buy figs that interest me, I'm no completionist - I think in large part because for me IDW Chromia IS Chromia. I've never watched the G1 episode with her in. I actually ended up redubbing my Siege Chromia as a new OC called Cobalta because she just isn't Chromia to me, whereas I love the T30 mold and would love to see an updated take on her and her Tron Light Cycle like altmode!
I don't like the TFP aesthetic of that figure, so she's a no go for me. I want Siege Chromia, but life has kept me from making that happen.
I tried to like Siege more but the slavishly G1 design just kept me off. T30 Chromia is great, I just wish she had a bigger, more IDW based head.
I meant to say before with Siege Chromia I actually ended up feeling Nightbird wears the mold so much BETTER
I can't say I'm totally satisfied with Selects Nightbird, and while it's not a clear cut winner, I generally prefer her to the LG version. Click to Enlarge Though I certainly understand anyone who prefers the LG version. I suppose the bottom line is that I'm not completely satisfied with either one of them. I'd forgotten how much I dislike Elita-1 though. Ugh. I have little doubt that I'll be replacing Arcee with the Cyberverse one as well. Discussing the RID and LG Windblade, I took some comparison pics, may as well share them here.
I'm planning on repairing my Siege Chromis and painting her up into someone else or maybe selling her. I definitely agree. She works well enough for the general IDW1 style I'm going for in my Generations collection, but I'd love to see a more IDW influenced design with a removable shield/backpack, maybe from the Cyberverse Deluxe line if that continues. Her design in that Series was very IDW influenced.
If you want IDW goodness, I highly recommend seeing if you can get hold of the Belzebubs (I'm not sure I spelt that right) Iron Lady upgrade kit. It has an IDW style Halberd and shield for Chromia and the Shield can even tag on the back of Chromia's vehicle mode though it doesn't completely replace it. It also has downsized versions of the combiner weapons for Arcee and Chromia in the Combiner Hunters pack which are pretty neat too. It's hard to find it for a good price but well worth it if you can snag one as they're fantastic quality
Is t30 chromia that great compared to the siege one? I was planning on getting the t30 one back when initially revealed her siege one but i just procrastinated on both figures until target had a sale on the figures and i finally bought her
