I’d love to see a g-self ver. Ka kit. I think the third movie is due soon. Been hard to keep myself from buying the blurays from Amazon japan.
Oh, I like this. I like this a LOT. Night Seeker AND the Polypod? AND THE NIGHT SEEKER HAS AN ALT HEAD! Unfortunately, what I'm NOT seeing is that goddamn Aqua Gundam Origin variant of the Local Type. The ONE thing I wanted more than anything from the last batch of announcements and it's not here. That, and my budget is pretty well blown for the month given MMC Mors/Not-Helex is still slated for release this month AND I need to get the Foxwire/Ni (Not The Pet/Not Nickel) with him when he comes in. Once the next round of payments on things goes through, I'll have to see if Polypod is still around - I absolutely want Night Seeker and if the fact only now did the G04 finally sell out on the Bluefin site (and the Geminass 01 is still up for grabs) is any indication, I might get lucky and put in an order sometime next month. Ugh, so much MONEY being spent on expensive shit. MG 1/100 POLYPODBALL [Oct 2020 Delivery] | PREMIUM BANDAI USA
Just finish watching the Gundam AGE: Memory of Eden OVA movies. As a whole, these OVAs does add to the overall experience of watching AGE, but it's still by no means a full replacement at all. The OVA are split into two 1-hour long movies, and among the two I do prefer the 1st movie. The 1st OVA does adds several new scenes featuring Zeheart, Asemu, and Romary interacting with each other which is not bad at all, and these added new scenes of them having some banter are probably my favorite aspect of these OVA. These new scenes may not be enough to completely redeem the rushed development of Asemu's friendship with Zeheart, but the added scenes are nice touches of developing both of them. The 2nd OVA are more of the same thing, but frankly I do think that this one cuts out way too much needed context. The added scenes of Zeheart "talking" with his dead comrades and Desil are an interesting look to Zeheart's worsening sanity as time goes on (And I do like the extended fight scene featuring the Gundam Legillis against the Gundam AGE-2 Dark Hound), but other than that the 2nd OVA cuts out way too much for me to care about most thing that are going on; I won't recommend watching the 2nd OVA unless you've finish watching the AGE series, as this one just cuts out way too much scenes which does add some context to the plot. Overall, I'll say that these OVAs are nice addition to the AGE series, but it's by no means a definitive replacement; You'll get something out of it if you like Gundam AGE, but the Memory of Eden OVAs aren't for everyone. Speaking of Asemu, my local online Gunpla store just has something I always wanted in stock. So...... It's time for some "Supah Piloto, Asemu Asuno" action. I won't build this one just yet (As I'm almost done with my RE/100 GP04 and would prefer to finish that first), but for someone who's into almost anything Gundam AGE-2 this is quite an nice addition.
Good luck tracking down the Artimes set - its like the AGE-1 Razor expansion in that it was an exclusive armor add-on for the AGE-2 Normal, but it was Denkei Hobby Magazine Exclusive back in 2012 so while it's probably the most substantially different of the AGE-2 Wears, it's probably not cheap on the aftermarket.
{QUOTE="ACMagnus, post: 17922006, member: 110832"]For some reason I wouldn't mind that. I never saw G-Reco but I always kinda liked the G-Self's design.[/QUOTE] Honestly, I couldn't get into G-Self. If not for the fact everyone smiled lke a Ghibli movie, parts of it reminded me too much of Eureka Seven and how I ended up hating that series... even so, we'll just have to wait and see what gets Katoki'd. With the big 40th Anniversary push, It dawned on me we've never seen a Zaku II Version KA.. The F2 model from '0083' doesn't really count. It's already up for preorder on the P.Bandai US store. MG 1/100 POLYPODBALL [Oct 2020 Delivery] | PREMIUM BANDAI USA $35 USD ...Damn that's.. BOUGHT! EDIT: yep, Glad I waited on this one. and the new Qubeley.
getting places with that MACROSS custom on the 1/72 HASEGAWA F-14 i found unbuilt at a thrift a year back;
I'd appreciate it a lot if Bandai showed some MG love to the Wing TV Gundams. The Katoki stuff is cool, but i'm honestly more a fan of the TV designs. X and G could use some love too...
It sucks that the Dictus is so expensive yet has those huge hollow spaces in the yellow parts. I agree completely. We’re seriously lacking in 90’s MGs.
The Polypod is tempting for $35, I'd been eyeing it since the original announcement. I just really haven't been feeling MGs for awhile and I'd probably want to mod the Ball for Maximum Dakka since I already have one of the original MGs. As for new MG, NETHER GUNDAM WHEN? I'd settle for some Tequila. Or honestly anything from Not UC that isn't Seed.
I thought the g/w/x suits were bit extra cartoonish in their designs. In the past I’d have just though it wouldn’t translate well to an MG (would love to see “ver ka” of the X for instance) but with the way they’re able to make them now I bet we could see some pretty spectacular kits of them. HG lots more likely though.
The MG X and Double X are fantastic, though. We just need the other four Gundams. (and their upgrades)
We already have the full lineage of Gundam X and the base Airmaster, but we're still missing HGs of Airmaster Burst, anything of the Gundam Leopard series (Leopard di Vinci only kinda counts since it doesn't actually have any off the Leopard's signature gimmicks), and absolutely nothing in the way of, well, literally any other suit from AWGX (and the support jet unit which I forget the name of that combines with all three Gundams). And we dearly need some Aries units from Wing. I mean, they've pratically perfected cheap troop building at this point with the Leo, Death Army, Maganac, and Windam (makes me wonder if the old Build Fighters Hi-Mock was in fact a prototype for streamlining simplified grunt kit mass production since Bandai's literally done nothing with it since Build Fighters)
problem with the current, standard-bearer HG GW-9800 AIRMASTER is that; A; it is 1/144 scale B; it requires parts removal for transformation (which the original 1/100 HG DID NOT) and C; it isn't an MG
well, a "Problem" for me, personally. a Problem, that is, until the day that BANDAI finally hoists themselves off of their collective Petard, and gives me the perfect transformation MG GW-9800 that i actually want...
I can't find myself interested in Metal Builds and the other Tamashii-brand Gundam figures, but I would definitely pick up a perfect transformation ZZ figure. The verKa MG is nice, but I'm just not feeling it y'know?
