Snowflake fans are just as bad as toxic fans. ALL fandoms bicker and ALL fandoms have the "boo-hoo we're the most toxic fandom evah can't we just get along" pontificaters. This site is no more special and or worse than any other.
And then there are those people in fandoms who point out how all fandoms are the same and can we stop complaining about them. Man every fandom has people like that right? Aside from her tummy and eyeliner I don’t see how this Arcee isn’t just as toon accurate as every recent MP. TT just confirmed the December 18th release date on Twitter, which is nice for those of us ordering from Anime Export and Nippon Yasan as this should actually ship before they close for the holidays
Maybe we should just shut the forums down if everyone is so sick and tired of reading other peoples opinions? I've took a big break between 2007 and 2014 but I can tell you it's no different now than it was then. We all discuss the news, the figures, the franchise in general and sometimes we disagree, sometimes we get overly invested or entitled, sometimes we become intolerant of others opinions and/or sick of reading them... but it's not gonna change. No one is forcing anyone to come here. I personally enjoy the back and forth, although I engage with far less than I once did, it's interesting to see how much we differ in wants, needs and expectations despite our shared interests.
And then there are the people in fandoms who point out the people who point out the.... You joke but this is actually a sore point for me. There've been threads where the mods were all, "behave," some people refused to behave, the mods gave a more stern behave order, those people continued to refuse, and so the threads were just plain shut down. It even happened to this thread for a while (I think it was only a few hours but still). Doesn't matter how many people behave themselves - all it takes is a few who won't listen. So no, we shouldn't shut down the forums. If someone is sick of reading others' opinions, they should just not read those opinions. I'm so sick of seeing people calling for thread locks just because they don't like what's going on: if you don't like it, then you should be the one to leave.* *None of this is directed at you personally, @Booster Gold.
As someone who was a mod here for a large junk of that time frame, I can confirm it is no different from now. The only thing that may have changed are some usernames, not much else. If discussion doesn't happen here, then everyone is heading to Facebook. If you're part of any Facebook groups ... well, I like it here more. So yeah, discuss. Disagree. Vent. Agree. Who gives a shit. Just do it respectfully.
So, Arcee uh? I think she turned out really good. Since I sold my vanilla MP-29 because I loved 40 much more (and the chrome was not all that hot) I would not mind a reissue. While I still prefer 40, Arcee looks much better with 29. Those alt modes man.
I don't know that I appreciated the moderating here until I tried some FB groups. The atmosphere of calm disagreement is much better than aggressive snipey moderating.
Oh! So that's the face that the right side face was emulating with the grey color inside the mouth. Though in the high res pic it's not really a grey color in her mouth, but not black like the other two. Huh.
I think they're all the same color but the more open mouth is just letting more light in so you can actually see the color.
They didn't just animate her though...Toei heavily modified all of Dery's original movie character models to make them closer to the toys once they were designed.
