Minor/Repaint: Siege “Toon” Megatron Modifications

    Did a quick little mod to the 35th Anniversary “toon” Megatron. Took off the back treads (this particular figure will always be in bot mode for me), extended the neck balljoint (so he actually has a neck now), painted the inside of thighs & forearms red (will some cel shading to keep in theme), and added a gun barrel for the shoulder (that can be raised as a shoulder cannon).

    sadly no, I do not have the engineering prowess to make that happen.

    How did you go about extending the ball joint on the neck?

    Snip ball-peg off, drill small hole (about 2-3mm) in ball and in “plate” where peg was previously on. Insert (and glue) metal rod into both. I put a small bit of wire loom around the front as well to avoid it looking “pencil necked”, but that optional.

    Nice work! I love the neck mod & the paint details really help this look great. I have one I'm working on myself & I've been debating a neck mod. Might have to try your idea or something similar. Great job!
