This is so incredibly helpful. Thanks for making such a detailed reply!!

    EDIT: He's here!
    20200517_113630.jpg

The sculpted detail is incredible. The silver on his chest (the very central part and the hose) isn't perfect but not return-worthy. All joints are tight and the waist holds together OK (not amazing, but it does fine. I think the coming apart is due to the kind of hunched over nature of how his backpack comes together.

It got from Pennsylvania (the origin) to NYC basically overnight, sat in the post office Saturday, and showed up this morning!

    Just some vehicle size comparisons

Is anything supposed to connect the robot's waist, mechanically? The backpack does a decent job at making it not immediately flop apart, but surely there'd be actual connections between the hips and torso, right?

Very frustrating to transform the first time as the back of the vehicle constantly wanted to pop one panel out as you got another in. Reminds me of VW Bee. But after that I knew what to expect and he transforms smoothly

I think I got really lucky. I don't see any issues on the waist. Does it unattached on some copies? On mine it's really tight

Got Sentinel in today, I was going to skip it initially since I have the older Leader and Voyager figures, and I thought I probably didn't need a third version of the same character, but I'm glad I picked him up, he's great. Glad I read this entire thread so I knew to shave those pegs to the side panels slightly, and I cut away a little notch on the gun assembly to accommodate his hand, so he now can use the gun effectively. I think they must have been thinking of doing that, or else why bother adding a 5mm peg to the arm?

I'm very impressed in how they did this one, it feels better than the average SS figure and has very nice detailing at this size. With the sword and the gun, you don't really miss the shield much at all - I was never a big fan of it in the original. I like the options of plugging in the windshield panel into the backpack for a more secured backpack feel, and that it can also be left unpegged for a more poseable feel. I think I may just be scarred at how I was never able to feel like I got the transformation of the Leader version exactly right (some stupid panel always looked wrong) but this one gets the transformation mostly right.

As always with SS figures that get a lot of things right, I look forward to the inevitable upsized KO as well...

I had a Titans Return Octone like that, where one of his truck sides was so drowning in paint that he couldn't transform properly, because the slots were all caked up and unable to accept the corresponding tabs.

I cannot believe how amazing this version is compared to that toy we got from DOTM. I wasn't going to buy him until I picked him up off the shelf; he said "you will take me home human".

I wish this guy would show up on Amazon.ca or something. The wait is agonizing.
