My guess? I think given that we just had Loki, which we'd seen the prototype for many moons ago and ties into the upcoming Marvel streaming slate - my five pounds are on Winter Soldier era Bucky. We know they invested time and effort into a sculpt, and since they already released Wanda - it's the only unreleased figure we know they have which they could use to align to the upcoming properties as they exist at the moment (feels likely we'll see at least a flashback to Winter Soldier era during Captain America and the Falcon TV show). I'll be surprised if its an entirely unforeseen figure. (I still want a Mark 1!!!!)
Man with Piccolo, Zamasu, and Vegito at least the end of this year will have something positive about it.
Got around to dusting and organising the SHF collection last night, really happy with a nice clean layout. (bonus Bandai Shin Godzilla and Figma Guyver).
They're going to re-release Gojira 2002 from Againts Mecha-Godzilla (for me one of the best movies after Shin Godzilla). I wish they re-release again the Shin Godzilla! but in 2021 we will have another movie from Toho, could be a new MHF.
I didn't know he retailed at 80-ish. I just went by BBTS listing of 59.99. Anyway, I end up picking him up after seeing the prices on eBay. I figure $100 was the best I can do since I miss the ball on the lower price ranges on ebay. It seem they were selling for around 50-60 in March then spike up to 100+ in April. Oh well, at least he is out of the way now. What did Dr. Strange do to War Machine?
Great collection! Love the Shin Godzilla poster too I’ve wanted an SHF Shin Godzilla for a while, but didn’t want to pay the prices they go for. A rerelease would be appreciated, fantastic movie. 2002 Godzilla I was thinking about too, but if the new movie next year is good then maybe I’ll get that figure
IG-11 was a preeeetty easy prediction there. It's SO much better looking than Hasbro's, I'll have to try and get it. And Piccolo's looking great too!
For me the 2002 Godzilla has the most beautiful "classic" aesthetic. The American "Fat" Godzilla is lovely too... but... aaah... Shin Godzilla... that design is insane!! an evolving creature!! EPIC!!.
Preview image from Tamashii Cinema page Old preview image from the Child's release (might have been removed) Would be very sweet if they included the Speeder bike , but that probably pushes the price tag close to $200 They would be stupid not to release the recolored speeder bike/scout trooper combo they already released in ROTJ colors
Look forward to getting SHF IG units. The BS ones leg articulation or lack of it bugs me. Also, I hope to see the Speeder Bike reissued as well. One of my biggest SHF regrets was missing out on those.
They are touching $200 on the secondary market, quite steep I will say, however, the scout trooper mold might be the best trooper mold in the entire SHF line
Yeah, it looks fantastic. Both the Trooper and the Bike. I saw it on sale at HLJ during one of their special sales and I was too slow on the trigger. Been regretting that ever since.
I think due to the source design, the scout trooper has very non-intrusive armor so it has the cleanest articulation
I have a busted scout trooper bike I got in a trade, they really should re-release the figure by itself though.
Oh goddamnit, I was trying to put Tao Paipai on my shelf and bumped the purple Kid Goku off of his cloud. As anyone with tile can attest, it is completely unforgiving. ...so my Kid Goku's ankle joint sheered off, and the ball peg that goes into the foot disappeared somewhere. I thought I might be able to replace it with a standard Kid Goku or Kid Krillan peg, but those are black, and purple Kid Goku's is flesh. Anyone know of another figure that uses that same peg/ball in flesh? I really don't want to drop $75 to replace this one for one single peg if a standard release can get me the same piece. EDIT: N/m - it's not a peg/ball it's two ends of a peg, and the peg broke off in the foot, which is why I couldn't find a missing piece that didn't exist. The good news is that I can stick the peg back in, and the friction there holds it in place-ish. It poses/displays fine as long as I don't try to articulate the ankle. I'll still end up buying another purple Goku to keep MISB, which will assuage that nagging voice about having a broken figure.
Tamashii Cinema page has been updated with the final reveal, this time the Marvel release: Long overdue Iron Man Mk I! shown years ago at a tamashii event, this is a pretty essential part of MCU lore and will fill out hall of armor displays unknown if it will be packed with an HoA but i wouldnt be surprised if the japan release was stand alone and the us release was a combo i am glad Bandai is using this post-Endgame time to go back and fill in the gaps in their collection Hope we get Vision at the end of the year for Wanda Vision plus winter soldier
