Not sure if i missed it but you should create a mechanism to make the boom of the crane shorter so it is more accurate and the same for the tower behind it. Love the progress and im depressed there is no more right now.

 

I originally had it collapse, but I scrapped it because it was to flimsy, I will probably engineer a joint so that it can fold in half to be a little more manageable.

and unfortunately yes, not much progress on details, while I am figuring out connections between the constructions, that’ll happen again once I finish most of the connections

Did the movie have 1 robot or 2?

 

The movie actually had two : Skipjack (yellow rampage) and "Payload" (yellow dump truck)

 

There was only one but gkrummy took some creative freedom to manage to make both legs equally long, I guess. And you mean his left leg (right one in the picture).

In the movie there only was Longhaul, the green dump truck, that forms the right leg of Devastator. The left one is solely formed by Skipjack, the yellow bulldozer.

 

Then explain where the yellow domp truck goes

 

I guess you mean the one that appears up on the cliff together with Skipjack. That's Longhaul (the green one). I know he's suddenly just behind the two guys but that's how the "Bay-magic" works. Don't try to make any sense of it. And it wouldn't make sense that Longhaul forms the right leg and his "clone"/identic twin Payload forms the left one together with Skipjack. Otherwise can you show me a picture or scene where you can clearly identify a yellow dump truck somewhere on Devastator?

 

what did you use to glue the lego to rampage? i’m trying a similar mod and don’t want to have a loose connection with the potential of falling apart

 

i would absolutely love some more posts about hwo you gave done longhaul and rampage (especially how you connected scrapmetal to rampage?)

 

Rampage and scrap metal are not actually connected yet, kinda just balanced on each other, I only had them setup like that so that I knew how I would want long haul to look, and the height I needed, since he’s most of the way there I will be moving back to them to connect them and give them a knee joint.

Can anyone tell me what is wrong with devastators face? I worked in a neck joint today for mixmaster, but can’t get over that his face just looks off. I know it has a more pronounced nose, and missing some bulk, but it just looks so bad to me.

 

It's too narrow/long. The original is way rounder. Looks a bit cat head shaped to me. Not that chimp like like the SS version's. And especially the lower jaw isn't that pronounced. And it splits of course like a snake's jaw. And have you seen his ears on the SS version anywhere?
I think the main problem are the sides of his head. There's just missing the width and bulk. And all the red around the face that comes with it. Just compare His head with the one of Bombusbee's Devil Saviour.

 

Exactly right - overall, very feline (or ermine) - with snake lower jaws.

 

where did the tan pieces come from?

 

min not sure which tab pieces you are taking about, if you meant the muted gold color, they are c clips I got from a lego set, some small thanos mech thing with a bunch of joints for fingers.
