I hate to be "that guy" that complains on a forum, but @ShowZStore seems to check in here pretty regularly and I haven't got a helpful response on their customer contact page -

I ordered one of the "Sample" figures off the site, an Iron Factory Cliffjumper, and since it's in the US it should have come pretty quickly. Unfortunately it seems like whoever has it in the US has no interest in shipping it - it hasn't moved since the label was generated on the 4th. This has got me pretty concerned since it's technically out of ShowZ's hands to ship it, but they've taken my money for it and are the only ones able to actually contact the person who is deciding they would rather just hang onto my figure.  

 

That happened to me in the UK with a 'sample', the private seller took their own sweet time to post it  

 

Lol, I bought sample once and mine shipped it to Florida, I live in Texas. Showz sent me a fresh set.

 

Ok......starting to get a bit concerned about these folks.

Been months back and forth and back and forth and back and forth with emails about shipping me a broken KO megs. Its missing a piece so what do you call it? incomplete or broken. Been patient and defended them when it made sense. So i posted here to get more visibility. Then I was told by showz here to DM em...lol I DID THAT for months!

THen I email them AGAIN at the store Item level they respond 3 days later, oh send an inquiry to our "after Sales" department. This is turning really really stupid now...So I did. No confirmation it went anywhere, no reference number NOTHING! So days later i have no response and a useless item i paid for that you can define as 1. Broken or 2. Incomplete. SHOULD HAVE GONE THROUGH THE PAYPAL returns if i knew this was going to be a thing. Im not sure if they are stretching this out to blow out my returns policy with PP. The optics sure seems that way.

I still see them selling it and EVEN suggested why not take it off your existing stock since its a MUSHROOM peg, response was a month ago no problem we send in a week... month later crickets.


And last night I HAVE confirmation for paying for an item and yet they are still asking me to pay for it??

I don't. I just find it a bit perplexing to be complaining about receiving a "defective KO".

Uh... have you been living under a rock? KOs in the MP Transformer world are generally fairly high quality products and the stores that sell them will usually service them just like any other product.

 

When it comes to KO masterpieces it usually means "cheaper + improved quality"   But beyond that buyer always has the right to complain about a faulty figure because he simply didn't receive what was advertised.

I'm sure ShowZ will eventually find a solution, just keep it mind that
- sometimes it takes sweet time to get a replacement part, especially when the stock is already sold out (I experienced that myself)
- due to pandemic they can give you an option: pay extra the for the shipping or wait until shipping recovers

 

A KO is a KO.

But whatever, it just sounds ironic is all. No dog in this fight.

Sure, I suppose so. And a toy is a toy. And a car is a car. And a rock is a rock. Even if one of those toys is a hot toys figure, one of those cars is a Ferrari, and one of those rocks is a sapphire. I own a KO MP Bluestreak that's a floppy mess with a face that looks like it didn't cool enough before they took it out of the mold, and I also own a KO MP Megatron that is better than the original in just about every way including fitting together better in alt mode (not as gappy) and being far more durable (not losing paint all over the place when you transform it).

Now I'll agree that it sounds kinda funny and, even just two or three years ago nobody would've expected that we'd be here, but we're at a point now where a KO of a MP Transformer has the same quality expectation as pretty much any other product, at least when purchased from a reputable store like ShowZ.

Not trying to be adversarial here and I acknowledge that you said you don't have a dog in the fight. It's just when you throw around that many question marks followed by "this fandom never ceases to amaze me," it comes across as condescending (and I realize now that suggesting you had been living under a rock probably wasn't any less condescending so I apologise for that).
