KH2.5 100% critical run, going pretty good, at level 66, beat sephiroth, dealt with Mushroom XIII, now leveling up and collecting synthesis materials

With Gamestop reopening I tracked down a physicial copy of Langrisser I&II. I've played the Playstation port of IV & V, but this is the first time I'm able to play the series in English proper unless you count 5 minutes of a Warsong ROM.

Actually looking like I'll be all caught up once AC:Valhalla drops.

Really struggling with Terraria for the Switch. I've had the game on PC/Steam for years. Every single part of the port is needlessly difficult though. I literally can't figure out how to build anything. For example, building a quick house, you'd just stand and jump to place blocks vertically, then place them in front of you one at a time as you slowly walked between the tops of the walls. In the Switch version, it seems like you have to place a giant rectangle and then hollow it back out? It's also really hard to place anything like a workbench or forge or chest because it won't attach to the ground. I don't know if they changed the mechanics between the port or what but I spend the 23 hours of night each day fighting off irritating blobs, zombies, and eyeballs because I can't get a moment's peace to figure out the damned menus to do anything else.

    Take that, f***ing Yellow Devil!!

I’ve been struggling with the first Dr Wily level in Mega Man 11. I had the whole level down pat up until the final vertical shaft with all these rotating gears that kept dumping me in the pit. Just couldn’t get past it.

So I did some research. I borrowed a couple of strategies I learned from watching a speed run, and learned how to skip half the gears in that shaft with a well-timed Rush Jet. Then beat the Yellow Devil. On to the second Wily level...

Anyone know where I can find a Switch console for my 7 and 1/2 year-old son right now? He could really use a pick-me-up and I'm struggling to find something/do something.
    Thanks.

    Woot!

    Beat Mega Man 11 tonight!
After the time I had getting through the first Dr Wily level, the second one was pie. Didn’t lose a single life. Got through the boss rush on the first try as well, though Impact Man is a bastard. Wily Machine wasn’t too horribly hard, but it helps that you can save and buy items in between.
(Geezer Alert: Hey kids, back in my day, we had to get through not one, but TWO fortresses without saving and without the option to buy items :D )

Now I really need to go back and finally finish MM10 so I can say I’ve beaten them all.

EDIT: I forgot to mention, it’s interesting to see the voice cast. Our own Jon Bailey is Rush and Torch Man, while Dr Light is voiced by Matt Trakker himself, Doug Stone. There’s a couple of occasions you can really hear some Trakker in Light’s voice.

I realized that the 3 games I’ve been playing the most lately are all well-received sequels to classic series: Mega Man 11, Streets Of Rage 4, and I recently bought Sonic Mania.

I broke that string by starting Hollow Knight last night. Everyone has said it’s one of the best Metroidvanias ever. I haven’t played it long enough to judge yet, but I’m looking forward to playing more tonight, so that’s a good sign.

Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom - So far I'm pretty eh' on it. Love the series and loved the Dragon's Curse remake, but this one is a bit too much of the same. I'm just a little tired of the "change to different forms to do different things" mechanic. The game does look amazing though...

I've been playing a lot of Metroid recently. I finally figured out how to get past the red doors. It took me far longer then it should have to figure that out. Finally got the long beam.

    Got back to playing Fate/Extra.
Defeated Lancer, Assassin and Berserker, unlocked my servant Saber's Noble Phantasm.... now all that's left is the last week, and the last opponent.

Started playing Crooked Man. I've missed playing RPG maker horror.

Been playing Granblue Fantasy with my friend a lot recently too. Playing raids has been a lot of fun.
