I’ve been checked out of this thread for a while now. I went back a few pages but didn’t see any talk about the loose shoulders. Has anyone that has the figure been able to tighten them up successfully?

 

I do not have my own copy yet, however I have played around with my wife’s copy for around a week. The only “loose” part of the shoulder is the inner shoulder area, this is a transformation joint more than an articulation point...although, due to its placement it can be used for articulation if desired, it’s not really meant to be an articulation point.
The actual shoulder joint is further out towards the actual shoulder and is very tight to move and will hold a reasonable amount of weight before it gives way to gravity. Any looseness caused by the inner joint only applies to to outward movement, forwards and back is not affected as that joint only allows for up and down movement.

I see a lot of people using the inner joint as the actual shoulder joint simply due to the fact when they try to raise an arm it’s the first thing to move. The actual shoulder joint (The outer one) is actually very tight and takes some force to move.

Any form of liquid acrylic (IE: floor polish) should have some affect on the inner joint since it’s just a simple disc and barrel connection, but I wouldn’t consider it to be a magic fix since that joint itself is relatively small and doesn’t offer a lot of surface to add additional friction to. Even with “a fix” in place it would still be holding a large amount of weight for its size.

One area that is absolutely an issue with tolerances is the articulated hands. The ball connection is very small and as a result so is the surface that is they to have friction applied to it. A coat of floor polish fixed the loose fit issue.
the non articulated hands do not suffer in the same way. They hold relatively tightly on the small ball joint connection, they didn’t need any attention.

the back of the cab is just a chromed out headache rack that the pipes run behind. There is also a few orange runner lights on either side of the rack. They had the truck at a convention my company set up a year or so ago, I can’t seem to find a picture of it anywhere online though.
