That was also done by Takara though, hasbro has only ever used the unique fan vote molds as the fan vote characters, at least so far.

That custom is no stronger a case than people expecting runamuck to be a wheeljack remold in earthrise. Fan vote winners have been new molds intended for the fan vote winners every time except combiner wars. The fact that the Netflix series and idw comics both use earthrise wheeljack as their design source is a better case for earthrise wheeljack being what we would have gotten than that custom is for your claims

I didn't think I was going to invest in any more figures from this line, but the Deception Mirage figure is a rather stunning repaint. I'm glad I found this figure to add to my collection.

Scrapface looks really nice in person as well. I'm kind of impressed that just a line of repaints could temp me so much lol.

 

F#$k Needlenose   He's had more chances that any other bot in the last few years to get a new figure, but each time, the fandom, collectively, has said "Nah". Hasbro should draw a line under it and move on.

Speaking of Fan Votes, the last one was around June 13th of last year. So do you think there will be another fan vote around the same time next month and if so what do you think they'll base their theme on? Some season 3 figures or just randoms characters like last year?
