I finished Brave Witches. I didn't realize that Miyafuji, Sanya and Eila appeared. I watched Brave years before I saw strike. So it did not make much sense to me at the time.

Makoto Shinkai Teases Next Film: "I'm Gradually Assembling My New Work"

"I'm gradually assembling my new work while following the pace of the production of 'Weathering With You' three years ago. I don't have the brain power to imagine the story, the characters, and the visuals all at once, so I've been working on it for months and months, trying to build it up and break it down again. It's already early summer..."

I'm sure most of us are ready to wait.

Yeah, I was expecting a little more after reading the manga, does make you wonder what would happen if Claire sister actually had got in the suit, because the other girl is pretty weak and still went ham.

I finally finish watching Gundam Wing..... and as a while, I think the show is just average; I've seen worse animes before, but I also seen better.

New Mobile Report: Gundam Wing does has some cool stuffs going on, with the music and MS designs been the best aspects of this show; Just Communication and Rhythm Emotion are both incredibly awesome songs, and frankly I do like some of the BGMs like Heero''s theme (The Wings of the boy who killed adolescences). The MS designs for the most part are also not too bad, and I can see why designs like the Tallgeese, Gundam Deathscythe or Gundam Heavyarms are so popular.

On the other hand, everything else about the show didn't age that well and the show feels very "1990s", like pretty much a product of its time. There are certain things in this show that I'm not that big of a fan of:
    • Aside from a few interesting characters like Treize, Quatre, and Zechs (Before he went full-on CCA Char Aznable), none of the characters are particularly that interesting.
    • Some incredibly unlikable and bizarre characters, like Wufei or Dorothy who only seems to exist to give other characters some sort of rivalry.
    • In several scenes, the animation (For some reason) looks incredibly cheap as hell, and the reused stock footage and occasional off-model didn't help either.
    • The overall plot is a complete mess; There's just so much going on (with all of the OZ, White Fang, Romefeller, Sanc Kingdom, ZERO System, Mobile Dolls, Gundam Scientists, coup d'etat) that none of said plot points get that much of an appropriate focus, and feels more like the writers just to put as much plot point as possible just to see what sticks.
    • Most of the actions that the characters takes over the course of the entire show is just bizarre and makes no sense even with context (Like how Relena wants to get closer with Heero even when Heero outright says that he'll kill her)
    • The way the characters acts and develops over the course of the show feels more like they changed so that they hit plot points, rather than compromise a good plot point for natural character progression. (Like how Zechs decides to went full-on CCA Char Aznable, and become the White Fang's leader out of nowhere at the last 9 episodes)
    • Over-reliance of exposition or dialogue to provide context.

I always found the way the various antagonistic organizations in Wing were handled to be strange but funny. They keep narrowing the focus on who the bad guys actually are...until they just can’t anymore.

“The Alliance are the bad guys.”

“No, it’s actually just the part of the Alliance loyal to Oz.”

“No, it’s actually this group of evil rich assholes called the Romefeller Foundation who control Oz.”

“No, it’s actually just this ONE specific evil rich asshole in the Romefeller Foundation!”

And then he dies, so they pull the White Fang out of their ass.

Anyway Wing sucks and I hate it.

Yeah, it's very confusing and I have watched the show 27 times. Still to this day I don't understand who the bad guys were nor Zechs' entire motivation.

If there's anything I genuinely remember about Gundam Wing, that'll be bizarre scenes such as this:

Even with context, this is probably one of the most bizarre scene I've ever witnessed in an anime; This is just such a bizarre scene (And that's from someone who watched JoJo's Bizarre Adventure which also has quite a number of bizarre stuffs going on), that it's just unintentionally hilarious. I'm not even joking when I said that I laughed everytime I watch this scene.

If nothing else, I do find certain scenes in Gundam Wing to be "so bad it's good", that it does provides some unintentional comedy. I find scenes such as these are just so bizarre that I laughed at how ridiculous it was:

I was watching K-ON!! I wonder if Yui is far smarter than she seems.

I hate Gundam Wing. It was strange and I didn't understand the motivation for anything they did.

Finally getting back on track to finish Naruto Shippuden on Hulu, currently on the rematch fight against the revived Sound Four Ninja. Still need to finish Bleach and my god am I WAY behind on One Piece, what an undertaking that will be.

Got some Jojo's Golden Wind to catch up on DirectTV, honestly the first encounter with King Crimson I thought was it but now they're on the run from him now. My god is that Stand broken I don't know how the hell they're suppose to win, Killer Queen was nuts but this is an all new level.

Took a break but I need to get back to catching up on Season 4 of My Hero Academia, I'm on the festival arc and after the moment of the last arc not a big fan of the slowdown. As well as needing to finish Neon Genesis Evangelion & Demon Slayer what with the next season of Sword Art Online Alicization coming up and no doubt taking all my time.

The new Higurashi anime, originally supposed to come out in July, has been delayed indefinitely.

Just finish watching the Gundam AGE: Memory of Eden OVA movies. As a whole, these OVAs does add to the overall experience of watching AGE, but it's still by no means a full replacement at all.
The OVA are split into two 1-hour long movies, and among the two I do prefer the 1st movie. The 1st OVA does adds several new scenes featuring Zeheart, Asemu, and Romary interacting with each other which is not bad at all, and these added new scenes of them having some banter are probably my favorite aspect of these OVA. These new scenes may not be enough to completely redeem the rushed development of Asemu's friendship with Zeheart, but the added scenes are nice touches of developing both of them.

The 2nd OVA are more of the same thing, but frankly I do think that this one cuts out way too much needed context. The added scenes of Zeheart "talking" with his dead comrades and Desil are an interesting look to Zeheart's worsening sanity as time goes on (And I do like the extended fight scene featuring the Gundam Legillis against the Gundam AGE-2 Dark Hound), but other than that the 2nd OVA cuts out way too much for me to care about most thing that are going on; I won't recommend watching the 2nd OVA unless you've finish watching the AGE series, as this one just cuts out way too much scenes which does add some context to the plot.

Overall, I'll say that these OVAs are nice addition to the AGE series, but it's by no means a definitive replacement; You'll get something out of it if you like Gundam AGE, but the Memory of Eden OVAs aren't for everyone.
