I love my MS seekers but the proportion of the upper and lower body feels off to me. The thigh swivel is extremely limiting as well when trying to pose. Mine hold together just fine, but I would've preferred if some of the back kibble had been left on the lower legs. I definitely prefer them to any other legends seeker, but the criticisms have some validity to me.

I’m not trying to be right or prove you wrong, but I think the thing that really makes the NA Seekers shine are the proportions. The chest to leg size and tapering is absolutely perfect and anime / gundam / macross inspired. The MST is perfectly serviceable, but more blocky and uniformly sized. It’s like comparing your town hall statue to a DaVinci, they’re both statues of people but one nails it. But to each their own!

sorry, what??? yes they are a bit more money, but not by THAT much! i got my NA conehead 3 package set for under $100 shipped to me off eBay (pre-pandemic) so $33 each. the seekers worked out to be more… assuming i ever get delivery of them that is.  $120 shipped via ShowZ, so $40 a pop. so whichever way you look at it, they were $10 or less per figure more.

Ooh, I'd forgotten about that. Yeah, that part really sucks. At least they have the vent things in their chests instead of the plain black squares though.

I think that comparison is a bit extreme but that is a fair point. Still not nearly enough to convince me to pay NA's prices.

Really? *goes to check prices* Hm, I think the best price I had seen last time I checked was $47 per seeker and I admit I was rounding up a bit. I think $50 stuck in my head 'cuz I thought Hodor looked good enough I might be willing to spend the $45 or so and then I saw he was going for $56 so I passed. Anyway, it does look like you can get them for a much better price as a bundle so that's fair, though I still think that even $40 a piece is too much, and the bundle wasn't available when I was considering between the two sets. The MST seekers work out to $27 each which is right where legends figure prices should be.

Anyway, my initial point was less about NA being bad and more that MST is better than people give them credit for.

if you buy the 3 original seekers separately, then yes it's WAY more expensive. but if you are getting all three, they have a package set and that's what i opted for. otherwise i wouldn't have pulled the trigger at $45+ each for them i don't think. especially since they are literally all the same mold with no variance, and i'm not one to frivolously throw money on redeco unless i REALLY love it or the character. i was on the fence of maybe just picking up one of the NA seekers instead of the 3 pack set, but i said WTF and just went all in given i was getting the 3 pack conehead set.

the package set was offered just after they released all three separately i believe, so i don't know timeline wise how off it was compared to MS release of there seekers.

i don't have a single MS figure yet, but trust me, i'm no blind NA follower… i want MS prime, and MS soundwave… and prob get MS megs over NA megs, which is sweet but can't get over the mess of an open back on it. :p  but MS seekers/cones as well as the datsun mold are big fails to me.

The NewAge coneheads are in a bundle that's around $100, and the originals are available separately for about $50 or a bundle for about $110. The other individuals do run $55-$65.

where did you get a 3-pack set of the original 3 Newage seekers? i thought they were only sold separately, and that any "bundles" were simply just sellers selling all 3 of them together...

if they came in a box set, do you have pictures of the box you can share?

    thanks! =)

They were just sellers selling the 3 of them together - no box sets. They were available from most of the major retailers, but a lot have sold out. There are still a few on ebay - I got mine in February right before shipping went crazy here: Newage NA H13 Lucifer H14 Leviathan H15 Samael mini Toy | eBay Mine even came with the Megatron legs but ymmv. They were officially only for preorders. And I just noticed shipping - ouch! It was free shipping when I ordered, but I suppose those days are behind and hopefully ahead again.

Got the shipping notice for my coneheads. Looks like it's ShowZ's new shipping method so I guess I'll have these guys in a month or so.

Same here. I'm hoping it's no worse than a HZJ package, which is like 2-3 weeks.

Looking closer at the box image I find it interesting that Dirge and Ramjet get multiple names, but "Attack" keeps getting used over and over again for Thrust.

Anyone get the Coneheads and willing to part with their gray pair of Null Rays?
I'm willing to buy them, trade for a black pair, or trade the special bonus G1 toy weapons for the gray pair.

I own the NA trio but ever since getting MS Megatron I have been thinking about picking up a set of the Magic Square seekers. I still do think the Newage design looks better but the height discrepancy is unbearable in my opinion. NA Starscream looks like a child next to Megatron. Could anyone that owns both MS Megatron and the MS Seekers take a size comparison shot?
