Ah Dinobot, top 5 MP of all time. What a toy.

Nice pose. Looks like he’s just screamed “Maximiiiise” and is about to tear his body apart.

 

I’m sad. My Dinobot has had no paint chipping at all, and I’m super lucky for that, but I had him posed with one leg out in an action stance and knocked him over putting him back in the display. He fell forward and I guess his own weight forced his right leg as far up as it’d go, and there’s a big ol paint chip on the gold part of the thigh where it hit the waist.

I had even contemplated clear coating that area given the reports of rubbing and chipping, but didn’t. Now I regret it.

 

I choose him and smokescreen over MP-44 that way I can still afford Scorponok and the new Ghostbusters stuff coming out.

I'm sorry to hear that. Rogerimus in page 723 has the paint mixture you would need to touch that up.

If you can't find Revell paint you can get Testors Enamel paint at Walmart, Michael's, and Hobby Lobby.

My guess from looking at my paints would be either

Metallic Orange mixed with white

Or

Metallic Orange mixed with sliver.

 

Just transformed him into beast mode. Epic. Gundam Gusion Rebake Full City wanted to see him.

Is there any confirmation that the 2019 reissue solved the ankle looseness? Thinking of getting a reissue copy if it solves some ankle issues.

 

Not sure. If you have the original, a dab of floor polish would fix the issue.

 

Every time I look at my shelf I get happy seeing this figure. It's my favorite masterpiece.

 

I’m so happy we got the BW MPs we did.

Then I remember we’re still getting more and I become even happier.

So I finally broke down and ordered a 2nd Dinobot. Now I'll have my current figure with the "winking robot chest" in Beast Mode and the new one will be in robot mode. Dinobot is my favorite character so I had to get a version that doesn't have this kind of paint error.

Ordered from TCP...should be here by Thursday.  

 

I looked at the price on TCP and had a mild stroke. I still need Dinobot for my collection but man. Those prices are murder.

 

I know....the reissue price went up from the original $250. The price increase is why I took so long to finally decide to buy a new one. The figure it incredible though. You won't regret spending the money if you do decide to get him. This is THE Dinobot you always wanted.

 

I know. If I can make it work, I will absolutely get him. But right now I’m eye-balling Blackarachnia. I honestly hope they reissue Dinobot again & hopefully have him for a more reasonable price. The 3rd run is less special right? .... right?

And then Tigatron is right around the corner. Man, collecting MPs hurts!  

 

It definitely hurts the wallet! Lol. Blackarachnia is also amazing. They all look like they just walked off the screen. I'm looking forward to Tigertron too. October will be here before you know it.
