Welp guess I'm screwed then since I live nowhere near a smyths and their website never has stuff ready for delivery, only ever store pick up. Shame too, I really liked that Megs.

 

It does whiff a bit that Smyths aren't offering at least an allocation of them on the delivery option given folk such as yourself, and the whole Lockdown protocols seeing as not everyone can pop by a branch on their household shopping trip, etc.

 

I agree. Especially given the government advice is "Non-essential retail, restaurants, pubs, bars, gyms and leisure centres will remain closed" so quite how Smyths are allowed to be open(ish) for click and collect outside the store I do not know. I guess they are using a loophole or something.

Also what bad timing is this mess up by our old friends Hasbro UK. Those of us with pre-orders we thought were secure did not order from Smyths when the items were in stock for home delivery, because we had orders elsewhere. Whereas now we are told these orders are no longer secure, the home delivery has gone out of stock.

This is bad comedy!

 

The stores aren't open. You can't go in and browse. Online sales are permitted. No loopholes needed

 

I ordered them together, but noticed that Hotlink was now listed as out of stock so I emailed Kapow about that and if they'd be getting more Hotlinks in and then this morning in the reply I was told that Hasbro UK had pulled Megatron from general retail. Strangely the reply didn't mention Hotlink x)

That's all well and good, but I don't have a Smyths nearby and I'm in the shielded group due to chronic illnesses during the current crisis so it's internet or nothing for me, and they're out of stock online last I checked Smyths' website

 

I've seen folks on tfw pick things up for people when getting something themselves. If anyone is going to a Smyths then surely they could dm you and arrange something? You pay a bit extra via PayPal so you're protected, you cover postage etc.

Battlemasters are a definite plus, but for Megs at least I specifically really want his gunmetal look. It gives me Transformers Prime feels and also I've already got the Toyhax labels to turn my vanilla Siege Megs into pre-war Miner Megatron.

 

Netflix deluxes due from IDT arriving with them 22/5/20, and my account was updated scrapping the Netflix voyagers.

 

Picking up a Hotlink from Smyths Bristol tomorrow. Glad I didn’t miss out on this figure.

 

I have to agree with this sentiment. Not really IDToys' or Kapow's fault, but they could have at least let us know as soon as they found out.

I'm lucky that I have several Smyths within relatively easy reach of my home and work in my part of the world. But to be honest I don't think these will be hard to come by over time. In fact I'd go as far as to predict that they'll be had for cheaper than retail for those who have patience.

 

Was speaking with ID today, regarding ER Sky Lynx as they have a May/June release date, and supposedly its due to be available any day this month. I hope it is soon, would love to pick it up!

 

For me it's just so frustrating that for once I was super organised and pre-ordered them and everything and it all went kaput.

 

My local Smyths (Barnsley) is out of both Hotlink and Megatron, but the Rotherham branch currently has 2 of each. Its a 20 mile round trip, but I am willing to pick them up for people that are stuck, for cost plus postage. D.M me by Wednesday evening if interested. It might be Saturday before I can post them though.

On an unrelated note does anyone know where I can find a Battle master Singe for not daft money? I've just realised that he's a Decepticon battle master that doesn't have a post sticking out of his chest, so now I want him.

If anyone has Megatron and Hotlink in a reasonbly close Smyths store and is prepared to help me with getting both - I'd be grateful for the help.
Though I'd be more comfortable piggy backing on someone else's trip if that is something someone is going to be doing, as I don't want to be a bother.
