Fool me twice, shame on me. If Arcee turns out like Hound, and I really, really, hope that isn't the case, lesson learned, and that might be the last straw for me. In the last year or so I preordered from AJ: Hound, Bumblebee 2.0, Optimus 3.0, and Wheeljack+, and then the last one before that was Targetmaster Hot Rod. So the whole switch to a quick cancellation cutoff happened somewhere in there? Geez, I never even noticed. Guess the Hound situation had me paying more attention to the finer print. You shouldn't be charged until the item ships. It's definitely not a huge deal, but it was a small comfort. I'd say now more than ever. The economy is ridiculously shaky at the moment. A lot of not so pleasant things could happen in the next 7.5 months. Being able to drop the order in an instant, no questions asked, is certainly a perk, just in case it becomes necessary. I'm one of those A-stance, everyone in a group, facing forward display type you're referring to there. Which is why I generally am not bothered by the side and, especially, rear views. Because of this I favor appearance to articulation. So if it looks good/accurate from the front and center in bot mode, I'm typically pretty happy with the result.
I'm not nearly as worried since Arcee has that big backpack, I'm expecting less tiny/thin/fragile pieces of plastic. Price definitely will drop between now and then, and you'll get charged when it gets released, otherwise they'd need to refund you the difference.
Yep, TFS-Express is cheaper than AJP and Kapow so PO'd with them. Now here's hoping Takara don't repeat the mistakes of Hound. Wait, are we saying Arcee would've already been produced? As in there's a whole run of MP-51s that'll be sitting in a warehouse until December? Or are we just talking about designing?
Now it's QC? Come on big buddies! QC issues will ALWAYS be part of the combo in our hobby. Remember MP01? The Megatron gun stock extension broke after like 6 months., MP05 had "cosmic rust". MP09 broke at the joints after just looking at him. I could go on and on. Hasn't stopped us from buyin' right? Only two options now, buy or don't buy. Don't like her breast part, buy and mod it. Don't like her non cartoon accuracy, get Azalea (awesome looking thing which I would have gotten if MP51 was not released). So simple.Just don't buy. Btw, concerning QC issues, I'm also with my fair share of them(maybe it was just old age?) with Takara and Hb. No mishandling on my part. Original Bigconvoy. Translucent left shoulder just broke off after 8 years. Godginrai re-issue by Takara 2002. Ginrai's feet just broke apart after 10 years Original G1 Optimus inner shoulder broke. Hb RID Optimus Prime wheels broke (seems like widespread issue) SL Convoy chest panel that folds out joint broke (the big gattai version) RID Prowl shoulder joints broke You hear that Takara?! Your products aren't PERFECT!
Lio was released just after Hound. Did they Takara, use the same type of ABS PVC? Maybe. But feeling them both they are kind of different. Arcee more or less is undergoing packing and shipping now from the factory. Companies usually have a 6 month window prior to the ETA.
Fyi, I don't own yet MP09. I am only posting anecdotal reports of his QC issues. I was planing of getting the China catalog fixed version but the beerbug shipping issues stopped me. Once HK is clear to ship, I'll be getting him this year (MP09) My MP Hound still is whole with no cracks (purchased December 2019)
I was meaning if parts molding and plastic injection was started during the completion of Hound. @Phamduc put her timeline after Lio. So from what he stated, the plastic quality matches Lio, and not Hound.

Mp-48 is a little different as it's still readily available. I doubt we see something that good,because she looks to selling well She was #1 on Rakuten at some point, and since they have opened her up she was #1 an hour ago.
Even the word "Masterpiece" on the boxes is a bit too "generous" for the stuff Takara is putting out since mp44 (mp44 included). But there always be Takara defenders no matter what. Talking about Arcee, I would be cautions with preorders... Do you all already forgot Hound? LOL

Personally I dig it when TT rubs the extent of my plastic crack addiction right in my face for the world to see ... Srsly tho, I blame FT for putting out their pathetic Rouge which forced me into this situation (MMC’s offering is glorified CHUG and not a relevant comparison imo)
In my opinion, MMC Azalea is worse than MP-51 in terms of cartoon accuracy. I mean, she is a great figure overall, better than any Arcee we have now, but her appearance just doesn't do it for me and I don't think she fits the Masterpiece line. But I do agree with everything else you said though
