I actually think Pyra Magna suffers from the kit by herself because of the way it swaps her legs.

Of course that's only required if you're going to use her leg add-ons and use the combined mode.

Other than that, all she gets is a green torso.

 

And a waist.

 

*insert clever/catchy intro* Day 15: Arcee.

Alright look, I'm running out of excuses for why I can't write very much for these. Today's excuse is I've been drinking.

Anyway, I love T30 Arcee. So much so that I'm not getting the Earthrise version later this year. And not because that one is bad, I just think this one is better. I mean, look at that lightpiping.

I did not edit anything to make those eyes shine like that. That's just how good the light piping is.

The only way I would replace this Arcee is if I happened to find the Takara LG version for about $20 and we all know that ain't happening. I do prefer the white of the Takara over the black of the Hasbrol. But honestly that can just be painted.

This Arcee can hold quite a few poses despite not having ankle tilts or waist articulation. The soft ratcheted elbows are really nice and they can bend beyond 90 degrees so that's a plus. I like her guns too. I wasn't a fan of her sword accessories though.

So yea, I like this Arcee.

Wow, I've been so busy today I almost forgot to do this. This one is gonna be really short because of that.

Day 16: Nightbird

Simply put: this is an OK Nightbird. I think most people prefer the Takara LG version and that's understable because it uses the T30 Arcee mold which is amazing. I went with this one because I figured it would be cheaper and easier than getting an LG Nightbird.

But this one does it's job of representing the character well. And you can even pull off some decent ninja poses with her.

Day 17: SHOOT HER!! SHOOOT HEEERRR!!

That's right, it's Slash.

Now, Slash was a figure I picked up because I already had the other dinobots and I said "fuck it, might as well get one more".

And she really is a great addition to their team. I would have been really cool if there was an official way she could incorporate into the Combiner, but I've seen some people come up with pretty clever ways of doing. But she's a fantastic figure on her own regardless.

Surprisingly poseable. No ankle tilts, waist or wrist articulation and yet she can still pull off shit like this. That's quite incredible really. I saw last night some folks here were talking about Slash's bio in the Earth Wars game and apparently she was a secret dinobot and she's super smart. In my headcanon, I like the idea of her being smarter than the others. But I also like to think she prefers using BIG weapons to make up for her small size. So I always have her displayed with a big sword.

Anyway that's about all I have to say about Slash. I've got another busy day ahead of me so, have some pictures.

Slash is easily the best of the POTP Dinobots.

 

So this is where my series of write-ups will come to an end (because I don't own anymore fembots). And this one is a special, because this one is only a fembot to some.

Day 18: Nova Storm

Now whether or not this is official or not may be up for debate, but according to the Transformers TCG, Nova Storm is a female. And as far as I'm concerned, that's enough for her to be female in my headcanon. Besides, I think the Seeker Squadron needs some women to help fill out the ranks (I might even headcanon Hotlink into a woman - I mean with a name like that how could you not).

It may come as no secret to most of you, but I fucking love the Siege Seeker mold. Every single one of them is a home run and Nova Storm is no different. Even though I added paint to her and the other Rainmakers, I was actually quite satisfied with how they looked from the factory. Nova is decked out in a nice bright yellow that's not at all blinding like it appears in pictures. I added the grey and black mostly out of boredom and to get some practice painting.

Please ignore my hackjob of editing out her flight stand. This babe can really pull off some good poses, especially in the air.

That's all I've got for tonight, and that's a wrap on this impromptu appreciation month I decided was a thing for no reason. But I've kind of like doing this. So I think I'm going to take a few days off to spend some time thinking about what kinda of theme or series to go with next (like Combiners, Headmasters, or maybe Siege Appreciation or something). I'll also probably spend some time writing up rough drafts days in advance so there can actually be some content in the posts. And I thought about asking if anyone would be interested if I kept going, but I quickly realized that I don't care, because I'm doing this for me.

Eeeeeeeh I don't think Nova-storm is a girl. I've never heard about that before.

 

In Cyberverse, Nova Storm is a female seeker, like Slipstream, though she doesn't share the Rainmaker colorscheme. Nova Storm (Cyberverse) - Transformers Wiki Acid Storm and Skywarp were as well.

I do wonder if the CCG people got a little confused or are ahead of a retcon, not that it matters to me; I'm all for female seekers and vehicons.

More Femcons in general would be nice, not enough of them compared to Fembots.

 

Definitely agree to this. Here's a few of my favorites:

 

RID had some notable female characters, but several didn't get toys at all (Zizza, Glowstrike) while others were stuck with smaller toys as part of a combiner set (Cyberwarp). Heck, Nightra would just be a Strongarm repaint.

 

The card says "she" and that's enough for me.

 

So, Cindersaur logic then. Got it.

 

I guess? I don't have Cindersaur.

 

I haven't seen any mention of Greejeeber, or if there was, I missed it.

I realize I seem to have a Decepticon woman bias, I have Megatronia, but not Victorion, Greejeeber, not Strongarm, and Nightbird, not Chromia.

Also, to preempt any controversy, in looking it up to make sure I spelled her name correctly, somewhere along the line there was a tweet (now deleted) that Greejeeber is a dude. Though it's hard to say I care about what a tweet from a designer feels the gender should be when I've treated her as a femme for 5+ years, she's based off a female original mold, and there's no mention of Greejeebers being a dude anywhere on any official material; including the pack-ins and I along with most of the community took her as a femme without any reason to think otherwise. If I hadn't looked it up today, I wouldn't have known about the tweet, for all the difference that makes.

 

I'm not sure how much stock a deleted tweet should hold but I feel like it's less than both your feelings on the matter and that it's an originally female mold.
