I like collecting character variants such as Magnificus, Sound Blaster, Crosscut, Burnout, Lift Ticket, Nemesis..etc. It’s even cooler when it’s opposite faction. It’s even more cooler when it’s a character variant AND a different mold.

I never had any Prime toys but for a Slicer, Energon Defender Wheeljack is excellent and still holds up. He looks better than just painting ER Wheeljack blue. Added deception stickers to complete the homage.

WJ is going to have his hands full when Exhaust arrives....

I've considered getting that Dark Energon or whatever its called Prime Wheeljack as Slicer a lot of times. Is he really shorter than ER WJ or is it the pose? Could you size compare them in a static pose for me?   Thanks in advance!

Notice how TR Soundwave and Blaster are listed as a "Device Deck"? I did a search for MP3 player docks the other day and they are right on the money.




It's a fitting update to the pair as they used to be tape players. The first thing I noticed about TR Soundwave and Blaster is that their cassettes were updated to being MP3 players instead of tapes (the most clever being Rewind, with a cassette tape as the background image on the MP3 player/iPod).

This almost makes me wonder if the correct alt mode for TR Blaster and Soundwave would be to have the device door open instead of closed, as it would grant easier access to the MP3 player for removal:
