Cornette is completely irrelevant to the wrestling business now. Instead of getting mad at the stupid shit he says, people just need to ignore him and his personality cult until he fucks off instead of giving in to his bait.

His contract was up, if they are still insisting that people sign for 5 years he would have been a much bigger idiot to do that at his existing rate.

I do enjoy listening to Cornette, with the knowledge that much of what he says is bollocks. But there are the odd jems he comes out with, like how he'd deliver a promo if he was Jake the Snake trying to get Lance Archer over.

In his diatribe about Becky he can't hide his bigotry against Japanese women wrestlers as he's dismissive about Akira Hokuto. Hokuto was a better wrestler than anyone Cornette managed, was on top in Japan for a decade, held belts in CMLL and WCW and absolutely gave her body to the business, breaking her neck one time from a tombstone off the ropes. And during her career she even had a child Jim.

Not much talk about "Undertaker The Last Ride" - just caught the second episode, and if you can't get past the constant verbal rim job being given to McMahon, it's a pretty enlightening piece of television. Just seeing the difference between Undertaker before his hip op when losing to Reigns, and then afterwards when he did the squash match with Cena after all that hard training, left me a bit teary. How can anybody not be impressed by the work that man put into coming back like that?

I have a confession; I haven't watched pro wrestling of any sort since the beginnings of the WWF WWE Attitude era. And so it was a shock to see how stiff and quite frankly awful Undertaker was when he lost to Reigns. It's understandable - but it was still pretty shocking, even though I have a pretty go idea of the impact a long career in wrestling has on the human body.

Right or wrong Cornette has a valid point. This obviously wasn't a planned pregnancy. Pretty irresponsible on their part. WWE had a lot invested into Lynch and now they are forced to throw someone else into her spot.

Not really. He was just brought to Smackdown and he was a 205Live/NXT contract before that. If he's on one of the main shows, he needs to be paid like someone on the main shows. It would be insane to travel and work Smackdown for 205 Live money

I think we are beginning to see the break up of The Iconics.

He wasn't just randomly asking for a raise. It was negotiations on a new deal. His shitty nxt/205 contract just expired. If he signed for a low amount, as part of a multi-year deal, he'd be stuck making NXT/205 pay for another 3-5 years! And he should just sign because there's a tight 6-month stretch that hit right as he was set to sign a new deal?

He'd be screwing himself out of years of proper pay. He was already being underpaid for what he was doing with the company. It makes sense to ask for a raise and to be ready to leave, otherwise. To do what you're suggesting is to literally throw away years of opportunity and income.

Its not like he had main roster money. He could easily make that 205/NXT cash (or more) on the indies. Hes making half of what main roster jobbers make

The world won't be shut down for the next five years, so weighing short term losses/gains vs long term losses/gains - he made the right call. You can't sacrifice five years of your life, working for little-to-nothing, because you're afraid of missing out on a few months of bills. That's the problem with a 'scarcity-driven' mindset - no big picture.

I saw it when it aired. Personally, I definitely think Owen deserves to be in the HOF, Martha’s just deluded and using WWE as a scapegoat.

I totally get why Martha Hart doesn't want Owen in the HOF now and I side with her. Fuck Vince, I hope he burns in hell. And fuck Kevin Dunn as well. Insensitive prick.
