This guy looks much better in hand than in pictures. In pictures his proportions do not look right to me but in hand he looks perfect. Regular version looks better than the X version I used to have.

Now if we can just get reissues of the rest. I was late to the party and cant justify the late tax. Hopefully the rumors are true and FT has their own factory now. Maybe more frequent releases and reissues.

Ya ..late tax is high. I started with sever as he was my favourite dinobot in Dec 2018. Then next I got grinder for a good deal at 160. Then soar whose late tax was at 280. I lucked out with stomp from a local seller for a reasonable price. eBay prices for him was around 500 or just less at that time. Finished off with scoria from someone from this board. Great set of dinobots for sure.

 

I’m on the same path, just reverse the order of Grinder and Sever. Just need Scoria and Stomp but the late tax has gotten much crazier in the past few months

I saw a ft-05 blue soar on eBay for 154 usd + shipping..used of course but that is not bad.

Ya scoria was 299 shipped last year I think... You hope for a reissue but I asked dailanji early last year about a stomp reissue and he replied with no plans at that time. Worth to ask again

 

The blue Soar on Ebay is an auction with like 5+ days left before the final bid/sale. It will not sell for anywhere near that price, probably closer to $400...

As good as Grinder is, if you have not already, you might want to explore the Gigapower dinobots. After being firmly in favor of the FT dinobots, I recently bought my first Gigapower dinobot and now have three and looking to get more. They are very impressive in person.

 

I got all my ft dinobots already... didn't realize the soar was an auction.

I heard good things about the Giga dinobots... They look really nice .. especially in robot mode. They are good option as most of the figures are at good prices.

 

Is $40 a fair price for the updated Grinder head (outside of EBay). Has anyone found it for less? Thanks.

 

Depends on how badly you want it, I guess. I think I paid 25 for it new, back in the day. I knew I was going to keep mine in bot mode, but I bought one anyway lol

 

I paid $25 a few months ago but it's getting hard to find now and once it's gone it will be really hard to find

So is there really any difference between an original Fanstoys Grinder and the reissue version? How would you even know which one you were getting if you bought one new in a box and it wasn't specified? Can you tell from the box? Does it even matter? Thanks.
