I’m disappointed that you also have the same issue with both the paint over clear plastic and unpainted feet.

Yes the original were painted properly.

although the feet not being painted doesnt matter really, you cant even see it in any mode

Whilst I partly agree with your comment about the feet being incomplete, it does make me think what other areas have corners been cut on the figure as well as poor choice to paint clear plastic.

Painting clear plastic is pretty much standard practice on areas that are the same panels as car windows no? Pretty much every MP carbot I own has painted clear plastic in one place or another.

Not defending the paint issues but just saying painting clear plastic has always been a thing.

yup definitely a common practice, just doesnt' seem it was done well in the G2 flipout from the accounts on this page. i would HATE opaque plastic for the greenhouse of a car. that would be a nonnegotiable dealbreaker as its only appropriate for very small figures (legends) or children's toys. heck it took me a while to get over the fake cab parts on gravestone's feet having one set of opaque windows...the alt mode windows of the carbots using opaque plastic....nah.

 

I would use a Testors Enamel Yellow. I think once it finally dries, it'll leave the desired result you want.

Anyone know if you can just turn the legs around in combined mode so the cars show from the front? I don't mind the idea of cars just sticking onto a robot but hiding the leg cars on the back feels like a waste and makes it seem more bland.

Also any update on G2 gravestone? Will probably get this set in G2

 

The trailer has not been released yet and there is no updates on it and the G2 and the toy versions whatsoever up to these date but XTB said in their weibo and in here that the cars only stick on the back because of how they designed it.

 

by page 1100, we will see the trailer lol. been a long wait.
