Who wants a good laugh? So baba sends me the PayPal to send the money and I pay by f&f without thinking. Got charged a foreign transaction fee. Long story short, Iceman cost me $150 shipped:dunce . I’m just going to sit in the corner now:confused2

That's why he doesn't have a waist swivel.
A waist swivel is that you can swivel it without undo backpack or anything.

Yes, you have to unclip the main wings and reclip them in a different way.

Mine arrives today while I'm at work, I hope they put it in a bag, it's supposed to rain all day.

Ron, I agree, it looks a lot nicer with your configuration.

These are really triple changers as they are also in combined mode. If you really want to have a dynamic pose I'm sure you could unhook the backpack, place him in a dynamic pose and cheat the backpack as close to the body as possible. I'm not sure why everyone is so enraged about this. It would be nicer if it had waist articulation without any loosening of tabs but we are not yet sure hos this guy will combine. Maybe the backpack position helps for leg stability? I guess we will find out.

    Absolutely.
I tend to gravitate towards figures that have characters with human-like face sculpts.
Some characters, like Prime, have a mask over their mouth.
Others, like Grimlock, have a visor or sunglasses over their eyes.
These designs are cool and have a place, but tend to be less expressive.

The Aerialbots are noteworthy for all their character designs having mouths, and all (except Slingshot) have eyes. I think that's one of the reasons why they look so great together: their faces naturally are capable of a wide range of expressiveness. That's even more significant when we recognize how much FT knocked the face sculpts out of the park with Skydive and Air Raid. It's much riskier to design what's essentially a human face than, say, Grimlock (not that Grimlock is easy, there's just less margin for error).

Anyway, my 2 cents. They look great.

    Silverbolt isn't.

Some people want basic articulation from their expensive bots.

Don’t people really use the waist swivel of their figures? They just pose them in a shy A stand and called it a day?

I dont think anybody is actually enraged but i fully agree with mike, and with the price hike it's a bitter pill to swallow that iceman is gonna cost me 120 uk sterling at this moment in time and can't even do a click left or right at the waist without breaking the sculpt over figures 2 years older and at half the price, yeah we all know zetas bots arent that great nobody is gonna say zeta > fanstoys
However with every little niggling issue i see coming up with fanstoys figures it pushes me more to the competition

YEah you can say "oh but zeta or dx9 have issues" and that might be true but i'd much rather have issues with a 60 or 70 quid figure than 120 quid figure
I also think transparecy would go a long way to unrile people, so if fanstoys had come out and said ok we're gonna make this combiners but the seperate figures will potentially have limited articulation points be it in the waist head arms shoulders whatever and the reasoning behind it i think people really wouldn't have a leg to stand on in getting all pissy because you know from the get go that these figures have limited articulation and the reasons why

But as it stands what's happening is that people are buying them and expecting them to be like every other masterpeice IF NOT BETTER and finding out they are more limited and thinking well i just paid 120 for this and why is it more limited? and i think people have every right to ask the question

Waist swivel is good to have, but it’s not a deal breaker for me. I’d rather have a head that can look up, down, left and right, than have the waist swivel. *cough* *cough* Hoodlum...

You can still get fairly dynamic poses without waist swivel. Head, hips, and knees are enough to add some variety to poses.

indeed they do - however I’ve decided to sell mine on and hope XTB can fix me up down the road. As much as I like the finish, they just don’t scale with anything MP. They even dwarf the MP seekers in bot mode, so I’d either have to display them separately or combine them, and Superion has never been a favourite.

I’ll keep hold of Air Raid as he’s my favourite, and let him go as and when an equally handsome offering becomes available.
