This seems to hit the middle ground between OS SS38 and TW's Freedom Leader in terms of aesthetics in bot mode (i don't really care much about the vehicle mode and i normally don't display them in vehicle mode anyway) . I'm most probably going to get this, but will hold on until an early review comes up to see if there are any QC issues. I asked about the release date from my local seller but unfortunately there are no updates yet as of when this guy will be released :/ I cant even tell if this guy is a heavily modified OS KO of SS38 or a new mould, he seems to look leaps and bounds better compared to Aoyi / BMB's version.

 

compared to 2 brands who are hypnotizing the Optimus Prime Bumblebee Movie Version action figure lovers ... Weijiang are still good !! good body proportions, the stomach part of M09 looks more futuristic like 3A compared to TW which looks less futuristic ... it's just chest I think M09 weakness (hopefully fixed like minor improvements in some other parts like the shape of the inner thighs, keep the shoulders side, chest this also hopefully gets improvement by using a schedule that is delayed at release). Nearly half a month away, this May is over ... hurry and come to my hands, M09 !! HAHAHAHAHA (crazy mode)

 

Seeing this comparison...the WJ one it's pretty decent, the only thing that seems better (or accurate) in the TW it's the torso.

 

Some comparison of 3A Prime vs BA Prime. If the M09 source is real, its size will be quite similar to TW-F09.
If WJ are trying to release M09 this month, I don't think they'd have enough time to make any new modification. August will be better to have it with some significant changes.

 

Actually, I think that WJ is not pending to modify M09 anymore and they only want to wait for one or two months in order to lower down the impact of F09 (Because TW just release their Prime to market officially and most of Transformer Fans is focusing on F09 now)

 

I'm personally ok with how it looks now as long as it has ratchet on places its suppose to and don't suffer from loose joints for a figure this size. The NE01 Megamaster is a decent example.

 

I agree. Hopefully Weijiang Fire Scorpion M09 comes with a full rachet joint so that it is strong and good like other WJ figures who are famous for being solid and strong even with a more economical price ... I heard that TW F09 comes without a rachet joint so that his hands are weak ... Is that true?? I hope in M09 there is no stupidity without a rachet joint like that

 

At this point I'll prbably get it but god, I hope they eventually do a new head. Even with all the improvements to the headsculpt, it still looks very ss38. That said, it's probably going to be fantastic.

 

Dragoon is literally the same size as MPP10. I have both and I've done a back to back comparison.

So, I'd say Dragoon is 32cm.

I think it will be big and chunky but the pictures always seems to be taken to show "strategic" angles... I think we need a picture of the front, maybe they're hidding a horror-chunky-flat-wide chest.

I have high hopes on this figure... But I'm starting to loose the interest and thinking again in the TW09, finally they nailed it, it's a worthy figure.

We don't even know the accessories of the W09...

 

this is actually the old M09 image and hasn't changed like the latest pictures on the internet (such as repairing the shape of the inner thighs, the shape of the outer shoulder parts, exhaust truck earth mode) ... I think in this picture ... the Optimus M09 most visible from the front viewpoint, even though the shooting is rather from the top a bit ... I think the shape is pretty good when compared to 3A, the M09 is not too bad as people are worried ... hope OP M09, which other than
this cheap price, actually if in my opinion is the rachet joint and its solid figure ... considering that there is an issue about OP TW F09 not coming with a rachet joint so that the joints are weak ... it's really stupid for an expensive class Transformer figure, which comes with There are many accessories and big pistols but they cannot be supported by hand

 

I still have the opposite viewpoint, M09 is chunky, but in a good way, like someone who lifts weights, he will be wide, but again, I'm ok with that. Freedom Leader W09 does not interest me at all, janky transformation and that flippy/flappy empty chest cavity over stomach thing that you have to finesse to pose...that said, we still don't know how M09 transforms, if the same, then this figure will be a let down for me, but if not a win...we just don't know yet. I was one of those few that obsessed over the pictures of both in the beginning, with TW09, I knew his neck was just a peg, then during initial "review" vids I noticed all the wobbly and flimsy parts and "fake" square/stiff transformations (to avoid his transformation being super wobbly). With M09, I just thought, look at the perfect legs, sure he can't really hide them but so beefy. If M09 can transform by just swivels and rotations and not force and bend past this and that, I'm good.

So according to ShowZ's website, WeiJiang M09 Fire Scorpion is an inch taller than TW's and is about $90 cheaper. I have the WJ's oversized KO MP10 repaints and their oversized M01 commander, and I'm quite happy with the quality on both.
I've heard of some quality concerns on the recently released standard TW version.

To me it sounds like WJ is the one to pick. Is there any advantage of the TW or any other versions of Bumblebee movie Prime over the WJ version?

Also WJ's is an original design and not just and oversized version of an existing mold, right?

 

TW has a better chest, face sculpt, Articulation, and better paint with a lot more accessories. It all adds up to the extra cost. Both are pretty good options tho.

Just depends if you want a prime that’s a bit more accurate with a ton of stuff, or a prime that is cheaper but sacrifices some proportions. I imagine WJ’s will be more playable as well. (Fun to mess with)

 

The first half of the statement I will have to say is purely subjective...then the later half I can only hope is objective. The "playable" part...I am so hoping M09 transforms more "normally" with much less and perhaps 0 "push past" and "flex past" this and that to transform. Because none of us have a copy yet, and none have seen a video yet, I can't comment on anything. The chest might be just as good, only that it's locked square in place (if the chest panels open outward, then we can leave it slightly open for that "angle"). Face sculpt might actually be spot on, but we just have somewhat low res photos. Articulation, who knows...I hope for less janky TW double joints and would rather settle for more substantial real elbows, etc. I know some people had issues with NE01 Megamaster, with "loose" joints, but wonder if those people also knew about locking in the hips, etc. I can only say, it's the 27th of May as of this comment!!! I hope we get him soon and he's a solid figure, "toy" or psuedo figurine ala TW F-09.

 

I'm not sure about TW Prime having better chest, it's way too wide.

The chest on the CGI render of Prime, and on the 3A Prime, are only as wide as their hips. Whereas TW Prime's chest is wider.

IMO, M09 has better proportions and is the more movie accurate Prime out of the two.
