Well, his battle mask and chest details are based on movie Bumblebee, so he is "supposed" to be roughly car bot sized. Also, with the T-Beast designs there really is no established scale considering there is no media in which they are used, and aesthetically why wouldn't they match? Both designs came from the same books

Same book, but not the same artist. The general idea is the same, make a bot turn into an animal instead of a car, but the art style is very different.

The issue is that aesthetically, Sideswipe is very much so mp-12 with a bull altmode and some added detail, bumblebee on the other hand is a fusion of movie design with g1 and zoids thrown in for good measure. One is blockier, so to speak, while the other has sharper angles and harder, more extreme lines and detailing.

And don’t get me wrong, I’m buying them both and I’m gonna have them all posed together, it just doesn’t match to my eyes.

Fair points, I can see where you're coming from. I guess my excitement to have these guys is just helping me ignore aesthetic differences :p

Nothing wrong with that, I’m ridiculously excited for them both as well.

And actively seeking to spend money I shouldn’t just to expand the group with tangentially related figures; for example, that cang toys predaking definitely has some similar design elements to the T-Beast despite not being from the books. It’s making me want to pick them up as well

    Ebay:
I recently ordered Psychro Knight from Ebay. Hopefully I don’t get ripoff.

Got one of the Botcon Waspinator repaints too.

I really like this line since I love G1 but Beast Wars revive my interest in Transformers.

does the plastic feel any better than GT’s previous outings? Their stuff always felt super light.

I gotta say....I really enjoy transforming this guy. It looks great in both modes. While he doesnt really fit in w any other lines...still awesome.

One thing I've wondered since seeing those G1 beast mode bot designs - are they unofficial/fan designs?

Or did some bored TT employee wonder, "Wouldn't Sideswipe look cool as a bovine?"

I got him and he's great - transformation is a bit odd at first, especially the chest, but I managed without even checking the instructions (thankful that beastformers tend to be simpler by design). Sadly he doesn't fit into a regular MP collection, but hopefully more T-Beasts will happen.

He's my first Generation Toy joint, and I'm impressed. (Never went with their Devy thanks to cost but that $400 set is somewhat tempting) Solid quality, decent accessories, and overall worth the price.

I'm hoping at least someone makes Wolfjack, and maybe Powerglide. I liked those two a heck of a lot.
