Guys, there was never going to be an alternate Takara deco, that was just a prototype. Hasbro and Takara product have been identical for the past 3 years. You really think the Allicon is the one toy that was going to be special?

So they WILL be different or WON'T be different? I'm confused. I believe the lavender purple version is from Takara.

Hasbro's showing signs of us getting some major BW revival in some shape or form like us getting a listing for a WFC Cheetor,Cyberverse again having Cheetor in it along with other BW references,Warden saying that next year will be a huge one for BW given that it'll be BW 25th anniversary by then, and even a BW movie possibly in the making. Not to mention with the WFC trilogy seeming to tick off the boxes for the remaining major G1 characters to be made,it feels like Hasbro's more willing to move on towards other TF eras.

So until we see legit proof we shouldn't assume that Hasbro has a vendetta against fans that didn't grew up with G1 as well as the TF movies for that matter. Believe me man I'm far from being happy with how dismissive Hasbro's being towards the rest of us fans anymore then you are,but being extremely bitter about it isn't going to help much. If nothing truly happens by that time then I'll be in the same boat you're in.

Ignoring all these posts with opinions that I'm sure will turn up again, reworded without much of a filter anonymously on /toy/.

So that listing. . . Would you all prefer Simplified transformation of MP Cheetor ooooor Update of the original Deluxe that ISN'T hot garbage like Universe Cheetor?

If it was a new Transmetal Cheetor, though . . . YES PLEASE. The original is perfect aside from not having a cute cat face like the show-model.

That's entirely untrue; Transformers: Animated started development very soon after the Unicron Trilogy concluded, and shared more in common with it instead of the Live Action movies (Hot Shot and Red Alert in place of Bumblebee and Ratchet for example). It did end up sharing many similarities to the movies as it developed, such as having "The Cube" (not yet named the AllSpark) as the source of Transformer life, with it being Megatron's ultimate goal, but in the end many changes that led to the final iteration of Animated were made in response to the success of the first movie. That's why Bumblebee and Ratchet are present rather than Hot Shot and Red Alert. Ironhide wasn't considered as a character; Bulkhead was the first character created for Animated, and went on to define the entire art style.

Well I am that G1 guy who has been loving this. The flaw in your thinking though that I would point out is for YEARS I was NOT getting fed. In between the 80s and present day there was BW, UT and movie stuff. G1 had reissues which were neat but not inspired. I did the Alternators and early MP but wasn't quite right. Classics started as a gapfiller and grew. That was 2006.....and NOW yeah I get it - we have had G1 for a while but WFC is quite a bit better than what came before. It's like mini MP. G1 is the bulk of Transformers lore and they can't just NOT do them justice. This is a deep dive comprehensive line that the media warranted.

Here's the rube, I am a diehard G1 guy and even I am getting my fill. I don't need another Optimus based on Sunbow anymore.....and this is coming from an obsessed fan. My nitpicks with him are only that. They can't just sell these same characters going forward, this is the peak. As someone who WAITED for seemingly ever I am gonna enjoy it as much as possible. And I want Powermasters, Metroplex, Targetmaseters, movie guys etc. But it's gonna be time to move on sometime in the nearer future.

So I think your time will come. I do feel your pain in a sense. I was there with Transformers as mentioned and loved 90s Comics as a kid....they got hate in the 00's and stormed back with a vengeance by way of cool figures. Thing do balance out. However WFC has been ONE consistent theme for YEARS. G1 mythology and the 80s line. Like it or not.....Those other incarnations mentioned did not have the endurance or media G1 did. So I personally have my doubts it will come back and really stick. I will likely walk away when it goes away from G1 and think others will too. But I could be wrong.

You’re saying everybody from Animated, but there were only about 6-10 unique characters in it that were new. This is only counting show characters.

Wow I only realized Airwave\'s gun turns into the control tower, nice. It\'s odd he has this many treads when he just turns into a base.
Phaser has little phasers? Awesome. Tiniest guns ever. Or are those molded into his hands?
I really hope they make new molds for Nightflight and Tailwind and repaint them too...

So is there an ankle joint there or no? Because it looks like there\'s a pin that can tilt forwards, but it hasn\'t been utilized in any of the photography.

If you'd read the translated message attached to the pics, you would have known that the pink one is an earlier prototype, and the grey cartoon-accurate one is the final version for Takara (as well as Hasbro, since, again, they don't release different versions anymore, I don't know why people think they'd change that for an Alicon).

Guessing the treads are intended more for the Selects Hothouse that will probably be made from Airwave.

Those are the same hip/leg joints as Brunt and Zetar.
