I just wanted to say that you were very patient with all of us. A lot of people were coming at you (me included) and you just to took it with respect, appology and moved on. You have my sincere respect.
Lets hope other will do the same and focus on the question

    In the other hand,
I don't think it is fair to compare newage bumblebee with master piece 2.0

Because of its very small size a lot of things can be overlooked:p roportion, lack of paint, lack of detail. If the new age bumb lebee were to be upsized people would laugh I think.
Same for starscream, maybe it s engineering would have a lot of weight issue in master piece size.
Legends scale can be very good and please a lot of people even if it doesn't have a lot of paint or if it is not too accurate (which is difficult for master piece nowadays)

One last thing: even if legend scale is catching up very fast, it is very far to reach the master piece variety. If your goal is pure g1 look, you only have 2 maybe 3 companies right now (depends on your obsession for scale) you have very few combiners options, no good arcee, no perceptor , no warpath, no sunstreaker etc.
And you have absolutely no idea how the market will evolve in 2 years. Maybe it will keep growing but maybe people or company will move one to other things.
If you really have doubt, I think the best thing to do is buy 1 legend. Legend scale (star scream for example) and see for yourself.

Completely forgot about them. I kinda thought they were dead, but I forgot about Satan. Not really interested in their aesthetic, something about it just doesn't do it for me.

Fair enough! Their stuff, Poseidon onwards, is top notch in terms of articulation and sturdiness.

Yeah, the forums can be particularly nasty to those with less common opinions like us. A few years back, under my old account, I had expressed interest in Combiner Wars and that, despite the mold reuse, it was a decent line, and well . . . got read the riot act in a DM from another user about it being not G1 enough.

It has been done by kbb to fit with their MP10v

Do not know about MS or NA but I bet MFT will do that for sure.

Sorry the 5yr old busted me and I am tired, I read it as a question.
    Do not know why hahahahaha
Looks like a very solid Bee for cheap, was thinking of getting that, so I would have Legends Prime and Bee, Voyager and MP in time.

I’ve heard that, but still too small for my tastes. Just go a little bigger...

Gotta say, the original Classics Bee has yet to be replaced from my collection.

    Heh, people be like:

In all seriousness though, I get why people would shy away from Legends scale, because traditionally Transformers at that size were incredibly simplistic compared to now, so its hard to believe the articulation and transformation something that small is capable of. But the figures nowadays are pretty amazing. For me, they're too good in hand to not collect.

At the same time, I'm not dumping my MP/Chug bots, there's room for both in my collection. While the articulation today's legends are capable of is pretty great, the one thing bigger bots will have over the little ones is the ability to have articulated hands. I do prefer actual fingers that can bend as opposed to having to switch out hands to get the pose you want, if those are even available. To be fair, I would never want a figure that small to have articulated fingers, as that would prolly be a nightmare of lost digits.

But yeah, it sucks to feel like companies aren't making things in the size you want. Its been said, but I think some companies are going in on this size because its a cheaper gamble. You'll prolly get more people fine with forking over $20-$80 than they are $100+, and do it multiple times. People will take pause at getting five $100 figures, but will prolly have not think about dropping $40 each on 10 seekers.

Still, I don't think they've taken over the market. I mean, IF/NA are exclusively legends, Magic Square is mostly legends save for their Optimus, but there are still plenty of other companies catering to the MP/Chug crowd.

Exactly this for me as well. Much as I love all my MPs, space has become an issue over time. Downsizing is always in the back of my mind.

As soon as I found out you could get these 80s supercars like the Lancia Stratos, the Porsche 935, the Lamborghini Countach, the Fairlady Z - you can get them and they are Matchbox cars. They are that size. AND they transform, into some really nice robots - hell yes, I was on board.
I have about 30 MPs and I love them, but I will pick up any cool little Matchbox car of most any of the carbots, including the cybertron cars like Hot Rod. They are satisfying my love of the cars in a different way than the MPs.

Something has just gone sour with Takara's G1 Masterpiece line, period. I don't buy that they couldn't have done the Spike gimmick at Masterpiece scale/price point without fucking up the transformation and Robot mode aesthetics. Not when some of the Bayformers Human Alliance figures had the same gimmick and were also considered the definitive versions of the characters until Studio Series launched.

...if you buy into mass-shifting as historically depicted in the media, legends-scale figures make perfect accessories for titan-scale (18"-20") combiners...

I'm definitely a mainline Generations collector. I collect MP too, but I'm starting to become frustrated my price and quality lately from Takara.

I wish 3P did more Chug-scale stuff, but I get it.

I don't follow 3P legends too closely, but I'm kind of surprised that they haven't gone crazy with the releases yet? For example, where are all the 3P legends scale combiners at? You would think more would have been released by now?
