I've been wondering where they'd use Sunstreaker again, and I just guessed Netflix, but I'd no idea Cheetor had been a sorta sports car.

    Edit

    Statement on product availability
I've to order that Ducati and potentially the haunted house... Maybe some Venom stuff. But I like to wait until there's at least a free gift, fucking hate paying RRP on Lego...

Finally took the run at sorting out Countdown's shortcoming...

...what kind of Space Explorer doesn't have Moon Boots?

I think an element is that policy now seems to be to maximise the use of a name trademark they don’t intend to keep renewing. They paid for Cheetor in Cyberverse, so why not make a Generations one before the trademark runs out?

My gut says it was unintentional, but considering Takara’s less than progressive attitude towards gender I wouldn’t put it past them to do a cheap joke about balls.

I wonder if the Japanese fans are as militant about show accuracy as Takara seems to think? It really does get ridiculous sometimes.

I’m still not altogether impressed. It looks oike the transformation consists of rotating the waist, tabbing the robot arms in and opening the beast mouth. And it looks like the robot fists just flob out the back.

I think so many groups of people are planning this it's as crazy as being at TFN itself lol
You almost want to have things the week before so you can talk to everyone at different times and not all the same day

Asokha spinoff series being very strongly rumoured....is this the series "aimed at women" that was mentioned by Disney people the other day that caused a lot of meltdowns by people who get very angry about that sort of thing?

In addition to Asokha and Boba Fett, Sabine Wren, Bo-Katan Kryze and Captain Rex are also being rumoured for the second series of The Mandalorian.

Should all this play out I'm hoping all these cameos and setting up other series doesn't mean Mando gets sidelined within his own series, the characters from series 1 are who I'm intrested in, I don't care about Fett and am unlikely to care about characters from cartoons I have never watched....unless they can do a decent job of showing who they are and what they're about without assuming everybody has seen their previous appearances.

What would win - interesting paint applications, or pure white with a gold bra? Takara's definitely placing its money on the latter.

Didn't really know about the trademark business until months back when I started listening to Protoman's stuff. It seems Chester, ah, Cheetor was due up.

Again, I just hope it is a trademark thing and not some half-assed Beast Wars BS.

Yes it's great. The more recent Metallic box set version is slightly better as it has more paint apps and tiny fixes.

    Kronos.jpg

They aren't as G1 or maybe as well built as the Fans Toys but a lot cheaper, already out, great combiner and doesn't take 1 hour to transform ;)
I still have the Reprolabels to apply.

Thank you Azrail for your reply.

I think for the price point they certainly deliver. From your comments you are happy with the representation and quality.
I’m sure getting the complete set from FT would be pushing triple the price of Zeta and as I’ve understood FT do not have a history of producing combiners which Zeta has.

I would be looking to have this in combiner mode only. I have Unite Warriors Superion but far too short against the other combiners/ Titan class figures I have.

Sorry for an additional question but does the combined bot height exceed 19 inches? From all the reading I have done, Zeta combiners are fractionally taller than others.

Thanks for your help :) .

Curiosity got the better of me. He's a bit alright, but in sore need of translucent plastic for his windows.

There's no reason why it can't be both. They take the trademark, milk it while they can for Cyberverse and Generations, and at the same time use it as a test case for BW viability.

I have the Cyberverse Ultra Class Bumblebee, it's charmingly rubbish.

Yeah, it's just I could do with fewer of Hasbro's machinations recently.

Superitron set is around 360 quid, FT one isn't quite triple the price lol. You're looking more at just under double, maybe.

Menasor and Superion are FT's first combiners. There's a mixed response so far---their [2 so far] Stunticons are well-received, although not as amazing as everybody makes them out to be. Their Aerialbots are consistently a bit less...low-key. Goose is great but the other 2 are far more mixed.

Zeta Superion is around 50 cm tall. All of Zeta/Tw combiners have a different, bigger scale than the rest. MMC combiners are shorter than the rest, everybody else is somewhere in the middle.

Yeah, it still needs gold shoulders and forearms as well as grey legs.

Am I the only one disappointed by Takara changing the Allicon to match Hasbro’s deco? I was looking forward to having, like, a leader or commander Allicon to lead my inevitable squad of the bastards. Also, an alternate deco would allow me to justify paying over the odds for the box set in order to get Slitherfang, but I’d be mental to do that now.

Oh, also, Fanshobby’s Armada Optimus needs far chunkier wheels. Considering they’re usually all about the chomk, why hold back now?

    Thanks Knightdramon.

I didn’t look at the price of the FT set but just gauged on their products (and prices I’ve seen) at least x5 at £125-£150 per figure. My apologies if way off base.

I would love the FT set but budget wise happy to go Zeta ;) .

Incidentally if anyone is considering X-transbots G2 Menasor I wouldn’t. I bought Flipout in yellow G2 livery from Omegalock mainly because I thought the price was low at £48 and could be a spare as I’m getting the G1. I am disappointed with the paint application. Not properly sprayed the feet and they actually painted part of the clear windows at the rear of the car in yellow. It showed signs of cracking and when I was careful in transforming to bot mode the paint has flaked off in part and only more will come off. Why paint clear plastic windows? Why not have actual hard colour plastic and paint on that..makes no sense.

I think the G1 version avoided this from a couple of the figures I have and the paint apps were properly applied rather than rushed to get product to market in my opinion.

Shit, I wrongly read it as they'd changed it from Hasbro's version! I considered doing the same thing!
